About this property
Historic 3 story Center City Row House near attractions -Washington Sq.
This property is an entire two bedroom and two bath home on 3 stories plus a basement with washer and dryer and a roof deck. It is spacious because it is double wide - two trinity houses were combined. Located on a charming street in Philadelphia only a few blocks from historic sites like Independence Mall, City Hall and the Liberty Bell and longer walk to Philadelphia Art Museum, it is in trendy neighborhood with many top rated restaurants and shops.
The first floor has a living room and an eat-in fully equipped kitchen. The house has central heat and air conditioning. The 2nd floor has a den with fireplace and large screen TV. The bedroom on this floor has a queen bed. There is a full bath with a shower. The 3rd floor bedroom has a queen bed and one daybed in the dressing area. There is no door between the bed room and dressing area but it is around the corner. There is a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination on this floor.
There is shared garden area in the back and there is seating and a cool view on the roof deck.
The house has many amenities: stove, dishwasher, laundry, coffee maker, microwave, full refrigerator and all the essentials are there (fresh towels, linens, extra blankets, soap, hair dryer, etc.).
Just a few blocks from the PA Convention Center, a block from the Kimmel Center and near the heart of all the historic sights Philadelphia. This home has a lot to offer - a cool neighborhood with many top rated restaurants and bars, close to grocery stores and a short subway ride on the Broad Street line to South Philadelphia Sport Complex - home to Eagles, Phillies, 76ers and the Flyers. In 2026 FIFA World Cup and MLB All Stars game.
Our home is in the middle of the Washington Square West neighborhood and it was built in 1858. It is one of the oldest and most historic areas in Philadelphia. The neighborhood is residential with historic townhouses, but also walking distance to everything in Philadelphia including many restaurants, bars, & attractions. The Pennsylvania Convention Center, Rittenhouse Square, Old City, Society Hill, South Street, Bella Vista, and Graduate Hospital are all within a five to ten minute walk. You'll find everything you might need within walking distance including a corner store, coffee shops, Whole Foods, Acme, a wine/liquor store, and many top rated bars and restaurants!
**Like most houses built in the period, please be aware that this property has somewhat steep stairs. The stairs to the roof deck are VERY steep and shallow. It is not handicapped accessible.
Public transportation (bus and subway) is easily accessible. A bus stop and the subway stop (Broad Street Line) are a few blocks away. The house is within walking distance to two major train stations (Suburban Station and Jefferson Station). 30th Street Station is a ten minute Uber/Lyft/cab ride. The airport is 25 minutes by Subway or twenty minute by Uber/Lyft/cab ($32 is the flat rate fare for cab + $1 for additional passengers)
Uber, Lyft, and taxis are all readily available in the area. There is also an Indego bike share station just a couple blocks from the house.
Because our home is located on a car-free street in the heart of the city, nearby street parking can be limited. There are plenty of paid parking lots and garages nearby.
We want to make your stay in our home in Philadelphia pleasant so please let us know how we can help!

Beth was super attentive and kind. The area was safe with plenty of entertainment with-in walking distance. Would love to stay at the property again on our next trip to Philly.
Beautiful home, very clean and cute! Amazing location! The host was super helpful, communicative, and nice. We had a wonderful weekend and almost everything we wanted to do was walking distance. Lots of cute shops nearby and safe location. We will be back!!
Super cool neighborhood and walkable to all the Center City things you could want to do. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended and would come back again.
Perfect spot for our family if 4 to enjoy Philadelphia! Plenty of space, lots of great food and drinks nearby, walkable to nearly everything. Had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
Location - perfect. Ambiance - perfect. Beth is perhaps the most helpful host I've ever encountered. Fast responses to every question. Tons of suggestions, food recommendations, and ideas for exploring. Highly recommended.
Loved the place! It had so much charm. Very clean and well appointed. Quiet and comfortable. Great beds/bedding. Enjoyed the exploring the neighborhood too! Walkable to lots of the sites in Center City. Highly recommend!!
Host was welcoming and very responsive to any help that I needed. House was in a friendly safe neighborhood, very clean and well maintained. Would recommend and stay again.
Enjoyed the beauty and character of the historic home and neighborhood. It was such a charming home that was filled with all the necessities of home. It was located in a good central area to the places we were visiting. Friendly and safe neighborhood. My only suggestion is if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs and/or an eye mask. The second floor bedroom has a streetlight right outside and the neighborhood is lively so when the restaurants start closing people take short cuts.Loads of parking options nearby. We are so glad to have found this place and are looking forward to next years trip to Philly so we can stay in this home again!
Wonderful home in an outstanding location! Close to everything that we wanted to do—great restaurants, coffee, bars. About 20-30 minute walk from museums. Very comfortable home and great communication from host! Would definitely stay again!
We were in town for a family wedding and had a great stay at this house! Description was accurate and it did not disappoint. Plenty of room, great location and walkable to a lot of things. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
My name is Beth L, my husband and I live in Connecticut. My husband Dan was born in Philly and is an Eagles season ticket holder so we are in town a lot. We purchased this property while our daughter was attending Temple University. This is us at Penn's Landing on New Year's eve for the fireworks - it was cold then but it's lovely walk in the other seasons! My daughter has since graduated but lives in the "City of Brotherly Love" a few blocks away so she can help visitors out.
Why they chose this property
We picked this property because it is so close to the Broad Street Septa subway line - easy to Temple, easy to Philly Sport Complex. Our daughter lived here during her college years. It is in the heart of City but on quiet no car cobblestone street. With three floors, there is plenty of space for the whole family.
What makes this property unique
The house is in the middle of Center City but has a historic feel.
