This is a 1000 sqft daylight basement that is wonderful for a quick layover in Salem, Or. Come for a few nights or a couple weeks. It has a one bedroom with a queen bed, shower, dining area, a large living space and is great for a couple. Full sized fridge, hot plate, toaster, microwave, and coffee machine available. TV is via wifi. This is the basement of my residence and its tucked in a quiet neighborhood of South Salem, 2 miles from downtown. I reside in the main part of the house above this unit. Normal creaks in flooring and normal noises can be heard. Lawns need mowing and yard needs tending so you'll feel right at home when the mower starts up! Neighborhood sound rules apply, Quiet time between 10pm and 6am. There is a storage room and a tool room that I may periodically need access to but with plenty of notice before. Walking distance to cafes and restaurants. Great outdoor patio for sitting and enjoying the cool evenings of summer. On street parking with a short walk down stairs to the entrance. Air conditioning keeps this daylight basement cold in the summer and it is warm and cozy during the winter months. Welcome to my home away from your home!

Cassie was very pleasant and responsive. There is plenty of room, which was more than enough for me. The house is in a well established neighborhood, and the streets are steep. Nearby to every type of store.
We loved our stay, the communication was great. East to follow. We never even heard a footstep. Beautiful back patio for relaxing and reading. Space is larger than what the photos led on! Which was a great surprise. We would definitely stay again.
Maybe operator error, but the coffee pot over flowed both times I used it. Maybe a guide for tv channels available. Wanted to watch college football but couldn't find games.

I'm sorry about the coffee machine I'll play with it or get a new one ASAP. The tv is just streaming, I just subscribe to Netflix. I'll put some guidance on it though. Thank you
The location is close to grocery stores, restaurants , and a fast food places if you need something quick.
The neighborhood is beautiful with colorful flowers everywhere and quiet for your relaxing time.
Everything we needed for our extended stay was provided.
Plenty of lighting available when coming in late to maneuver the steps leading to your cozy place waiting for you.
If you are looking for a nice quiet get away in an up scale neighborhood of Salem, OR this is the place to be. There is a private entrance, large back porch area, and lots of living space. The property owner is/was always responsive and really cares for her property. I would recommend her and this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Salem, OR area.
The place was as I expected, as I was visiting with my small, support dog. Definitely perfect for pets, with concrete floors, limiting any possible damage from accidents, etc
I still don’t understand why nightly rate (as advertised) went from 78/night to 137/night when I could only book 5 nights instead of 7, but it still served my purpose and was better than a hotel.
Cassie's place was better than described. It was really roomy and able to accomodate 5 people comfortably. Cassie was very to gracious to add another bed at the last minute and extra linens. The kitchen had everything we needed and the outdoor patio space was amazing with lots of seating and a fire table. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood and close to many restaurants and grocery stores. The place was very clean. I appreciated that she sent me the codes to get into the place the day before we started our travel. Thanks for a great stay, Cassie

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
We loved this property! We stayed here for a few weeks. The location was convenient, quiet, and private. The host was so communicative and so helpful. The place has a lot of space and natural lighting. Would highly recommend this location!
We came for a few weeks in July 2020 to visit family in the Salem area. The a apartment was good for our needs. Private and all ours. We ventured into the back patio at times.
Only drawback, no kitchen sink, oven or laundry. Being near family helped with the laundry.
