About the host
Hosted by Kari Marsenich

Hi, I’m Kari! I’m a local Montanan who loves everything about this beautiful state—camping, hiking, paddle boarding, and exploring the outdoors with my husband and my Great Dane by my side. I take pride in creating a clean, comfortable space where guests can relax and feel at home. I'm just a few minutes away if you need anything at all during your stay and am always happy to share local tips or help out in any way I can. Looking forward to hosting you!
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it’s the perfect blend of charm, convenience, and peaceful Montana beauty. Tucked into a quiet, residential area with a quaint and welcoming feel, it’s just a few blocks from downtown Whitefish and the historic train station—close enough to walk to restaurants, shops, and events, but far enough to enjoy some true relaxation. From the house, you can see Big Mountain and the slopes of Whitefish Mountain Resort in the distance, a stunning backdrop that changes with the seasons. It’s a neighborhood where you’ll often see people out walking their dogs or biking by, and it has that small-town friendliness that makes you feel right at home.
What makes this property unique
What makes this home truly special is the unique blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Built in the 1920s, it has character you won’t find in newer builds—like the spacious entryway with a classic coat rack and bench, and a functional mudroom with laundry and a utility sink that’s perfect for an active Montana lifestyle, and it's original art deco kitchen. The newly installed floors add warmth and elegance throughout the home, while large, bright windows flood the space with natural light. One of my favorite features is the view from the east-facing window—a lush, dark, jungly landscape that feels peaceful and a little magical, especially in the early morning. This house isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to breathe, unwind, and feel at home
