About this property

Cabin on Voyageur Lake–2BR Retreat on ER Chain w/ Deck, Firepit, Shallow

Cozy, quiet, and full of classic Northwoods charm, this 2-bedroom cabin on Voyageur Lake is your gateway to everything the Eagle River Chain has to offer. Situated right on the shoreline, the property boasts a private pier, a small sandy beach perfect for wading and playing, and deeper waters at the pier’s end with natural fisherman’s weeds. Enjoy lakeside evenings by the firepit or relax on the spacious deck overlooking the water. This lakefront retreat is ideal for families, couples, or friends seeking a peaceful escape to slow down, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories together.

The cabin comfortably sleeps 6+ and features an open-concept layout with windows that bring in natural light and lake views. Step outside and enjoy your morning coffee on the deck as the sun rises over the water. Spend your day fishing off the pier, swimming from the sandy shoreline, or cruising the connected lakes by boat. Evenings are for laughter around the firepit, watching the stars reflect on the calm surface of the lake, and soaking up the stillness that only the Northwoods can offer.

Many guests find themselves reminiscing about their childhood summers at the lake—catching frogs, skipping rocks, roasting marshmallows, and falling asleep to the sound of crickets. This cabin brings that feeling back. It is the kind of place where memories are made naturally: a child's first fish caught from the pier, quiet canoe rides through morning fog, card games at the kitchen table, and stories shared by firelight.

Located just minutes from downtown Eagle River, you are close to restaurants, shops, and year-round trail systems while still tucked away in a peaceful, private setting. Whether you're here for a summer adventure on the water, a crisp fall weekend among the changing leaves, or a cozy winter escape near snowmobile and cross-country ski trails, this cabin is a place to return to again and again.

Book your stay and experience the timeless magic of the Eagle River Chain.

Loved the location of the property. It’s on a more secluded part of Voyager lake. Most of the boat traffic on the chain is a good distance away from the property. We brought our boat and the pier was perfect to tie up to. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate to enjoy a campfire while there, but there was plenty of cut wood ready to burn in a lovely setting. There is a nice deck with a bar height table and chairs. Lots of very friendly deer in the area and they often wander through the property grounds. Cabin size was as expected. Bedrooms were spacious and one of them had a sink vanity with a mirror. This was great, as there is only one bathroom and it’s quite small. The kitchen is old and in need of an update, but it is well stocked with anything you might need for your stay. The only down side for us was the quality of the well water. The tap water has an odor that is unpleasant. I found myself breathing through my mouth when showering to avoid smelling it. You also smell it when washing dishes. We’ve stayed in many of old cabins in Northern Wisconsin and have never experienced water quality quite like this. Thankfully, the owners do provide a water cooler dispenser in the kitchen, with extra bottle refills, so you don’t have to drink the tap water or use it for cooking. In all honesty, we loved everything about this property, but would likely not stay there again unless we knew the water quality was improved by a whole house water filtering system.
