The entire front wall is glass, which makes for a spectacular view of the water, St. Ann's Bay, and Jersey Cove, You will see all sorts of water birds including osprey, the occasional seal. There is a new eagles' next about 400 M from the driveway, and two young eagles continue to fly around the Jersey Cove Rd. There is outdoor art from Iron Art Studios, and eagles fly over the eagle sculpture to fish in the bay. Comraich Iolaire is Gaelic for eagle sanctuary.

This house has everything you need whether it's for a couple of nights or a couple of weeks. The kitchen is fully loaded, and there are several good restaurants within a 30-minute drive. Wake up early or late and watch the tides flow in and out of the bay. Take out the hammock, string it up, and enjoy a peaceful morning or afternoon rocking to the ocean breeze.
The front great room is full of original art, most of which has been collected from Cape Breton artists. There is also original art in the master loft as well as mosaic night stands. Each bathroom contains steel towel racks designed and cut from a sheet of steel by Cynthia, one of your hosts.
The house inspires peace, calm, and renewal.
