About this property

Close to Nathan Benderson-Owl's Nest Eco-Cottage

Charming Key West-style Cottage- just minutes from beaches and all Sarasota has to offer! Perfect for nature lovers and eco-friendly travelers.
The space
The Owl's Nest Eco Cottage is part of a larger 2 acre property shaded by mature oak trees and wild, lush landscaping. It is conveniently located just minutes from Downtown and several amazing beaches. It is just 5 mins from Nathan Benderson Rowing Park and convenient for rowing events.

The property is newly redone and redecorated. It features a modern, relaxed coastal style with influences from nature. The master bedroom features a large king size bed with silky, organic cotton 1800 thread-count sheets. There is also a brand new queen size sleeper sofa in the main room that can be made up for additional guests or children.
Guest access
Guests will have access to a private cottage with a separate driveway entrance and covered parking. There is a 3/4 fenced yard that affords some privacy as well as a large spacious screened back porch (or lanai) that is perfect for morning coffee of just relaxing after a day of exploring. There is also a small private patio in the front of the guest cottage with native butterfly plants.
Other things to note
The Owl's Nest Eco-Cottage is a great place for nature lovers! We have an abundance of wildlife for an urban area. This is in part due to our efforts to restore much of the property with native plants and trees. We also have butterfly gardens, rain gardens and a bioswale landscaped with ferns and native plants, that support a number of different species. We have an amazing diversity of songbirds and butterflies. The screened back porch is a great place to birdwatch or watch some of our butterflies. We also have a resident pair of Barred Owls that can often be seen or heard in the back acre. The have fledged a fluffy little owlet for the last two seasons, which can be a fun sight. We have seen foxes and otters in the back yard as well.

Good day,The house was small and quaint. I really liked the screened in back porch. In the house needs draperies or blinds for more privacy. We really only needed a place to sleep so we werent there all day until 8pm. Left by 8am. I feel the price was on the high side but it all worked out. It was in a good area near stores and restaraunts. I would stay again.
