Elegant Modern Garden Oasis, Spacious, Family Friendly & Close to it all

★ RATED A TOP VRBO's BY WASHINGTONIAN MAGAZINE ★
Stay in a one-of-a-kind piece of DC history: a 100-year-old corner store reimagined as a spacious, design-forward rowhome sleeping up to 14. Perfectly positioned where Eckington, Bloomingdale, NoMa & Shaw meet — steps from Michelin-recognized dining, Union Market, and the Metro. Ideal for families, reunions, wedding parties, and group getaways to the nation's capital.

The Space:
Two full levels of living, four bedrooms, and three full bathrooms give your group room to spread out and come together. The open-concept main floor flows from a light-filled living room to a chef-ready kitchen with breakfast island and full dining area — the perfect gathering space after a day of sightseeing. Two bedrooms and two full baths complete the main level.

Downstairs, a private lower level functions almost like a second apartment: two more bedrooms, a third full bath, comfortable lounge space, and a dedicated laundry room. Memory foam mattresses throughout, fast WiFi, a dedicated workspace for remote work, smart-lock self check-in, and a crib and extra sleeping options for flexible group configurations. City skyline and courtyard views round out the character of this truly unique home.

The Neighborhood:
You're at the crossroads of three of DC's most exciting neighborhoods — with a fourth, NoMa, just blocks away.
Bloomingdale (5–10 min walk): Tree-lined Victorian rowhouse streets and some of the city's best neighborhood dining — The Red Hen (Michelin Bib Gourmand Italian), Boundary Stone, The Pub & The People, and beloved Big Bear Cafe for morning coffee and pastries. Don't miss the Sunday farmers' market or a stroll through Crispus Attucks Park.
Union Market District (15 min walk / 5 min drive): DC's famous food hall with 40+ vendors, plus La Cosecha Latin market, breweries, boutiques, and rooftop dining. A must-visit for any food lover.
Shaw & U Street Corridor (short walk or ride): Nationally acclaimed restaurants, craft cocktail bars, live music at the historic 9:30 Club and Howard Theatre, and DC's best nightlife.
NoMa: Trader Joe's, Harris Teeter, Alethia Tanner Park, and the Metropolitan Branch Trail — perfect for a morning run or bike ride past some of DC's best murals.

Getting Around:

NoMa–Gallaudet Metro (Red Line): ~15 min walk — direct to downtown DC
Union Station: 1 mile — Amtrak, MARC & VRE for day trips to Baltimore, Annapolis & beyond
U.S. Capitol & National Mall: ~1.5–2 miles — quick rideshare or scenic walk/bike
Walter E. Washington Convention Center: ~1 mile
Howard University & Children's National: minutes away
Easy access to New York Ave/Route 50 & Rhode Island Ave for drivers; street parking typically available

Whether you're here for the monuments and museums, a graduation at Howard or Gallaudet, a convention, a wedding, or a family reunion, this home puts all of Washington, DC within easy reach — with space, character, and comfort you won't find in a hotel.

Clean, spacious, convenient

We brought a small group of students for a school field trip and your house was perfect! It was clean and in nice condition, spacious, and had room to sleep plenty of guests. It was a convenient walk to the Metro and a short ride into the heart of the city. We also enjoyed several of the great local restaurants within walking distance for dinner. And the kids loved the rooftop view!

Amazing Experience!

Will was such an amazing host. I contacted him a day before the trip to see if I could book, because our previous place had gotten cancelled last minute due to roofing issues. Will was very understanding and allowed me to book. I told him it was my birthday that Saturday and we were going to bring it in that Friday night, and he even had champagne and a speaker waiting for me! The place looks exactly how it does in the pictures and it accommodated 8 of us very comfortably with room to spare. Would highly recommend booking here! Plenty of parking, neighborhood was nice and close to some hot spots in DC. Overall amazing experience for my birthday!

Great birthday getaway

Property was exactly what I wanted for my birthday. Clean bedrooms and bathrooms. So grateful I got the chance to use this beautiful place. Quiet neighborhood. The swing in the back patio was my favorite part.

DC stay

The property was good overall except for a few issues. The only tub was marked as "don't use except as shower," packages kept arriving for the owner and we weren't sure what to do with them. the directions for getting in to the property were confusing and there was no indication that the building had a second apartment and the other people were very loud,

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE- MOLD in bathtubs; DIRTY; MILDEW smell in basement; listing NOT ACCURATE

IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT STAYING AT THIS HOUSE, FIRST READ OUR FEEDBACK. HOUSE WAS DIRTY AND LISTING IS MISLEADING! My family of 13 spent 3 nights and had a horrible experience at this house. We notified the owner multiple times about the dirty place and about the listing being inaccurate. In the end, the owner did nothing. I wish I could post pictures along with my review to show the house conditions. In the end, the owner did nothing to address our concerns. WE WERE STUCK... * Place was filthy dirty: black MOLD around tubs, dust everywhere, floors dirty, basement had a strong MOLD/MILDEW smell, pillows were DISGUSTING and needed to be THROWN OUT! My daughter with sensitive skin broke out with a rash on her face. Notified owner about lack of cleanliness. He responded that he was trying to contact his cleaning person, who never showed up- this with two days left on our stay! * VRBO LISTING IS MISLEADING- says sleeps 16 but truly the max is about 10. The listing says 3 bedrooms. Upon arrival, I realized the basement was considered the 3rd bedroom! In order to reach 16 people, owner expects guests to pile 12 people in basement with only 2 beds (queen & metal bunk bed) and a couple of small couches. Bunk bed was not very stable, would wobble with any movement and had a ripped up over-sized mattress that would not lay flat inside bed frame. One of the corners remained bowed. Still needing 2 more beds, we found about 5-6 camping blow up beds in a closet! This is how the house sleeps 16?? 2 couples slept on blow up beds and during the night the beds leaked air and woke up laying on the ground! Notified owner about misleading sleeping arrangement to which he responded that he would need to get back to us. Followed up about 12 hrs later to which owner responded that the listing was correctly listed. * Lastly we felt lied to even about the parking pass! To park car on the streets, you need a parking permit as stated in the VRBO ad. When we first arrived, I asked owner about parking permit. The owner told me I didn’t need it. It wasn’t until a friendly neighbor pointed out that we needed a parking permit or we may get ticketed! I shared this with the owner again and received back that the prior guests took the parking permit- owner did not offer to provide us a new one or a solution. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOUSE! A SCAM FOR WHAT WE PAID, RECEIVED AND ENDURED!

Lovely space for a group

My girlfriends and I had such a lovely stay at this property. The kitchen and living room are nice and open for a gathering space. There were minor needs for items throughout our stay such as towels/trash bags and the hosts were very responsive at attending to our needs. Both Caroline and Will are so friendly and accommodating. We had 14 girls and took up every bit of the sleeping space between couches, 2-3 people per bed, and the futon but there were many air mattresses that we could have used as well. One parking space is provided and we didn’t have much difficulty finding spaces along the street for another 4 cars. The space needs some updates but is decorated very well and was exactly what we needed for a lovely long weekend away. Thank you to our hosts for your kindness and help throughout our stay!

Great location and nice place!

Great location and cozy place. We enjoyed our stay very much. thanks for accommodating request for late check-out. However, a few comments 1. A/c doesn't cool the bedrooms as well as the living room 2. Bedsheets, covers etc. we're all piled up 3. The beds only accommodate 9 people at most; with 11 people it was definitely tight. Air mattresses not comfortable.

Bachelorette Weekend

We had a party of 13 staying at this property. The house was so nice, spacious and well accommodating. Everyone in attendance had nothing but nice things to say about this property. The property is close to everything. We were able to leave our car parked in the garage for the weekend and either walk or use Uber to get to our destinations. I would definitely recommend andbif im ever in the DC area again and this property is available I will book. Will was very prompt at answering any questions I had.

Great comfortable Home in DC

We had a really good 6 day stay at Will’s place as we experienced our nations Capitol. There were a few small problems he took care of right away. The beds were comfortable. The furniture is a little low to the ground for seniors and we could have used a couple more towels. The kitchen was equipped really well. Forgot to tell Will there are only 3 coffee cups, I'm sure he will add more. We would certainly return here for another visit. Thanks Will!

We called this the miracle house and it was!

Wow! What a life saver this house was, we desperately needed a house of this size last minute and we were so thankful to have found the Miracle house! We had a large group of friends that were staying together, and this house was perfect! It was big and beautiful and fit everyones needs. Wil was extremely attentive, patient and caring, not only as a a landlord but as a human being. His warmth and kindness was very evident and something Ive never experienced from a Homeaway landlord before. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us and all our needs were met! I know he has other rentals and I look forward to working with him in the future!

4/10 Poor

Disappointed and Cheated. Enjoyed my visit to DC but not my stay at this property.

The main reason I booked this property was for the 4 bedrooms and rooftop view as described, but in reality,I received neither in this property. In my opinion, there was deception in the description of the property’s listing. Here are some of my complaints: •After I booked, owner changed his cancellation policy from 100% return to 50% return.•Rooftop not set up for the view as described, there was no lighting and it was unsafe •Only 3 bedrooms not 4 as advertised •No cable in living room as advertised •No return phone calls from staff as suggested •Thermostat for a/c locked so you could not adjust as advertised •Ice maker did not work •Hot tub did not work •Bedroom in basement had water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom entry •Light outside of master bedroom was out •Kitchen cabinet handles fell off and some were loose •Furniture not in the best condition, loose screws and unsteady bench in master bedroom •Outside garbage can was full •Basement TV not setup, it was sitting in the closet •Batteries missing from TV remotes •No dish towels- we had to buy our own •Laundry from previous guest was still in dryer •Owner used my phone charger (w/o my permission) to connect the USB box for TV service in master bedroom So, this is what I was dealing with on my wife’s 54th birthday with family. During our stay, Will responded once to me about my complaints and stopped by while we were out that day. The only thing that we saw he did was hook up the TV service in the master bedroom (and used my phone charger to do so). I called Will on August 20 and left a message for him to call me that evening so we could talk about my concerns and issues during my stay. He called back and I was finally able to have a conversation with him, AFTER MY TRIP WAS OVER and I was back home. During our conversation, he informed me that right before my stay, he had removed the cable and had fired the company that was managing his property. So, I explained to him that my trip ended up being so bad because he obviously was in the middle of a transition/changeover, which caused me and my family to experience all these issues and for which I ended up paying for. Will said he would speak to his partner to discuss my complaints and that he would give me a call back the next day. Not to my surprise, he did not call back and there has been no further communication from him about the quality of service I received during August 14 through 19.

Well-stocked but noisy apartment

Pros: - Well stocked apartment. -Kind and responsive owner. -Many modes of transportation available to get to the sites you want to visit. Cons: - This is an urban apartment. Traffic, emergency vehicles and people talking right at the bedroom window happens at all hours of the day and night. The main challenge was that a family was staying in the other apartment in the home. They had young children who were running around and playing the piano at all hours of the day and night right above you. -Wifi is very spotty. - We had a problem with ants in the kitchen from the day that we arrived and reported it to the owner. We left no open food out. Anything we opened, we put in the refrigerator. The owner left ant spray for us the day before we left so we were able to take care of the problem then.

AMAZING PROPERTY AND HOSTS !

Will’s place was so clean and beautiful! The living room is very spacious, and the kitchen with the island table was extremely convenient for cooking. Every single room had a tv and the most comfortable bed ever. The place is extremely spacious with plenty of blankets, pillows and air mattresses in case of emergency sleepovers. Will was the best host anyone could ask for, very attentive and communicative, and I would very much recommending your stay at his Airbnb.
