Family Getaway
Our family of four, 2 adults and 2 teenagers thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lake was beautiful and the accommodations clean and comfortable. The house is very well equipped with bedding, towels and the kitchen is completely outfitted.
It is just a short drive to some really good local restaurants if you don't want to cook. We rented a boat for our stay and it was nice to be able to dock it right at the house.
Thanks for providing a great place to make some special memories.
You can tell the interior was recently refreshed. Everything was beautifully decorated. Furniture was cozy and comfortable.
Exterior is rustic by design, but is showing some age. Yard on a downward slope with a small deck/dock. Outside living area is a great place to have your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
All in all, a pleasant stay!
Everything about this house was just perfect for a quick getaway with the hubs and his new fishing boat! We loved the seclusion of the house with the perfect access to the lake. The owners were very responsive to any and all questions we had. The house was stocked with everything we needed for our stay! We I lay used the master bedroom but it may have been the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!! We would definitely stay again !!
Had no problems we couldn’t handle…house cleaner missed a stack of red plastic cups that had an experiment growing in several…but we know how to wash a dish or cup…enjoyed the house once we found it and got into it.
We had a wonderful vacation. This house is cozy, stocked with most everything you would need to relax after a day in the water, or just hanging around the cabin. Our family of 6 fit perfectly and peacefully and the wireless was a plus with teenagers. We had our boat right at the dock. It’s tight in the cut, but doable. Our neighbor got caught on the stump that a previous reviewer mentioned. A few quirks- no Kuerig as advertised, and it’s a hike to get to the grocery store. Bring your shampoo, soap, salt and pepper, cooking spray, etc. The incline/decline from the water is super steep. Didn’t stop us, but important to note. The cabin itself is very clean (with the exception of ants-probably a time of year thing). I loved the privacy and quiet here. It’s not directly on the lake, which is nice and quiet-no waves and engines to listen too. We would rent here again for sure.
House and property was great! Clean and had everything we needed! Bring your own floats, kayaks, etc if you enjoy that. Dock makes it perfect if you have own boat. Recommended!
House: Perfect size for 3-4 people, with cozy open concept so you feel together. Loved the kitchen. Beds were very comfortable and master bathroom was awesome. Lovely deck overlooking water. Everything about the house was perfect. It was very clean when we arrived. It was also fully stocked with every kind of dish you could possibly want.
The location was nice, and I was able to take several walks in the neighborhood. No sidewalks, but traffic wasn't busy.
The lake was peaceful and beautiful. One thing: the picture on VRBO doesn't show that the finger ends right there, so the view is to the left and there are houses to the right. If you are looking for a huge expanse of water right in front of the house you won't get it here. Also, across the finger is another dock and it is so close that you can hear people talking. Not a huge deal for us, but important to know. Also, there are quite a few trees in front, and they block a lot of the water view. All that said I gave it a 4 because the view was still amazing (just not perfect). Also, the good thing about being here on the finger is swimming is very safe for kids because it is 4-5 feet deep and no boat traffic.
Excellent communication and service. This was one of our favorite lake vacations of all time. I finally unplugged, and for me that's hard.
It was such a great experience. Clean and easy to get in. Area is beautiful.

Just the facts
Unfortunately the house is not as advertised:
Fact 1- there is no den, the sleeper sofa is in the living room. This is an open concept house, so your living room, kitchen and dining room is all one room (small room)
Fact 2- the grill pictured is not there. The grill is actually a small charcoal grill and located downstairs in the driveway (it’s a pain)
Fact 3- not a deep canal where the dock is, extremely shallow and murky, not swimming water! Also there’s a stump in the middle that our boat and the neighbors boat got hung up on.
Fact 4- it is a very steep incline from the house to the dock, if you’re elderly or have family with trouble walking up steep inclines be aware!
Fact 5- They do not wash the bedding ie, comforters, blankets and such. Just the sheets. Be prepared to change the sheets in the guest rooms, they put the dirty covers on the bottom sheet with no top sheet, it was covered in hairs we had to shake out the covers and put new sheets on!
Fact 6- WiFi only works half the time. It constantly goes out, don’t plan on being available to your work from there.
The positives were that we loved the location! It’s very close to the jumping rock, rope swing, sand bar and boat ramp. Also the canal is great for fishing we got a huge catfish (another reason not to swim). This is a Great Lake and can be a lot of fun!! This rental was just disappointing for what we expected from the description & pictures!
It is a great place plenty of room for a family of 4. There is only 1 grill not 2 like stated .Also the dishes were put away dirty as well as the coffee pot that was not cleaned or emptied .Also the pictures and entertainment center have more cobwebs than I have ever seen behind them with living spiders. These things are not the owner's fault but maybe they need a better cleaning crew.
Our family had a great time at the lake. The home was clean, well-stocked, and accurately advertised.

Locked out
We arrived at the property shortly after the checkin time of 4pm. I had already emailed the homeowner that we needed the lock code to enter the house. We had to wait almost 2 hours (just sitting there) for the owner to finally respond. I had called, texted, emailed and she said she was “in a meeting”. Not very sorry for the terrible inconvenience that caused us to be late for our dinner. We asked if we could get an extra 2 hours at check out, she denied it. Some people just don’t understand the hospitality industry.
