We are a family of six that stayed for a week at this property. The location of the cabin was very convenient. Very close to many attractions and the national park. The cabin was well stocked with dishes and everything you need in the kitchen. It was homey and well maintained. The kids loved the air hockey table. The porches are beautiful and an excellent place to hang out. The only real hiccup in our stay was the property was not ready when we got there at 4. We drove about 10 hours for vacation and everyone was ready to get out of the car and stretch. We quick changed and headed to one of the nearby pools to give the cleaning crew some extra time and when we returned two hours later the cleaning guy was just leaving. I wish it would have been communicated to me that they were not going to be ready for us. Overall it was a great stay.

Great property, good location and value. A few random minor hiccups along the way - e.g., cleaning service was late, door lock batteries ran down. However, Jimmy (host) was extremely responsive in a timely manner. So yeah - I’d stay here again. We hiked and stayed at Mt LeConte on Sunday. Very convenient location on the Park entrance side of town. Numerous bear sightings in the neighborhood (One came down the road as I was taking out the trash the morning prior to our departure). Hard rains came periodically throughout the stay and cooled things off, especially during the hiking activities :)

Steve, Thanks for the honest feedback—and yeah, we'll get those door lock batteries on a better rotation. Appreciate you pointing it out. Glad the location worked perfectly for your hikes and that I could jump on the cleaning service thing when it happened. LeConte's incredible, and those bear sightings are part of the Smoky Mountain experience. Hope to see you back.

Why they chose this property
Chalet Village — Where the Smokies Actually Feel Wild You're not in the tourist strip. You're above it. Chalet Village sits high on Ski Mountain — 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, but a world away from the noise. The elevation means one thing guests talk about every single time: the views. Mountain ridgelines, valley mist at sunrise, the Ober Gatlinburg tram floating past at eye level. Bears wander through regularly. This is the real Smoky Mountains experience.
Your home base for everything Great Smoky Mountains National Park — 5 miles Ober Mountain ski area & aerial tramway — 2 miles Ripley's Aquarium — 5 miles Gatlinburg SkyBridge — 4.5 miles Dollywood — 12 miles
Community perks included Three outdoor pools and tennis courts come with your stay
Heads up on the drive The roads up are steep, narrow, and winding. Take it slow, especially at night. It's part of mountain living — and the reason the views from your deck are unmatched.
What makes this property unique
Smokey Ridge isn't your typical cabin. Three full levels of authentic log construction, with over 1,000 sq. ft. of deck and outdoor space built for one thing — soaking in the Smokies.
The outdoor space spans multiple levels, giving every member of the family room to breathe. Morning coffee with mountain views. Kids running between decks. Lower level has the hot tub — step out and soak while the mountains do the rest. When you're ready to come inside, the fun doesn't stop. Challenge the family to the game room, then wind down in the private sauna. The logs are real. The views are better.
