Views of Mt Rainier to the southeast and the tip of Mt Baker to the northeast. Just does not get any better than this.
This is the exact location where the Dosewallips River feeds the saltwater ocean ( they say - when fresh water rivers feed salt water oceans - life is most abundant). Sit back and listen to the sound of the rivers greeting the sea's tides. A Magical place in paradise where you can explore many nearby State Parks, Kayaking, Canoeing, hiking, yoga in the yard or on one of the three tiered decks, water sunrises, some of the most amazing moons, or take a walk during low tides.
Sit back on the deck or inside to be greeted by a fantastic sunrise. Enjoy four Kayaks when the waters on the Hood Canal reach high tide and are calm. Life preservers in different sizes are provided in the shed on our dock. Take a hike outside your door to some of the most romantic, magical walks in the Pacific Northwest. Dosewallips State Park is within walking distance of the house. This house has one of the most expansive peninsula and waterfront views.
If you are a family or just a couple in need of a getaway, then this is the perfect place to relax.
Eat fresh Oysters or clams just a few miles away while listening to live music on weekends at the Hama Hama Saloon. Walk to the local Geoduck tavern, or simply stay put and enjoy a million-dollar view with everything this home has to offer all around you. Life does not get any better.
This is the eastern access to all these amazing natural places, abundant with amazing scenery, all levels of hiking trails that can lead you through the entire Park for a week of trekking, or a short round-trip with a picnic. Falls View Park and waterfall, Mount Walker viewpoint and many other wonderful scenic outings all within a few minutes' drive.
Windows in every direction, and an expansive deck that hangs over the water for big views. This homes yard has one of the longest shoreline views and its proximity to the water is unbeatable. Big space to enjoy a family of 6 -8 comfortably. Olympic national forest is near your doorstep. Home to Otters, seals, Elk, Osprey, Kingfish and Bald eagles.
Small-town charm is nearby and is the gateway to deep-water marinas, three major rivers, clam and oyster beaches, excellent bird and wildlife viewing, a 120-foot waterfall, Mount Walker, or a drive if you do not want to hike to the top. My son and I spent 8 wonderful nights to celebrate his college graduation. It was a dream trip. Perfect for relaxing, hiking options galore nearby. It was a welcome reprieve from our hot and crowded home state and I can’t wait to go back. Tom was terrific at responding to any questions. We have rented many homes and this one was so well stocked with all necessities!
The perfect place to recharge. Beautiful view, stunning home and kind hosts.

The house has an amazing view. Good location near close to trails and views in Olympic state park. We hiked, had dinner at local restaurants recommended by host-Geoducks and Hama Hama oyster saloon. Kayaking with provided kayaks was fun. Beds were clean and comfortable.

Jenn,
Thank you for taking the time to review as others really depend on these post. So glad you enjoyed what we sincerely call our home away from home.
Tom and Mary were the most gracious hosts for my birthday weekend. My family enjoyed constant eagle sightings, elk, otters, and all of the wonderful flowers blooming. The house was perfect, with an ideal open layout that worked well for us. We will be back for sure!
A lively view of wildlife complete with binoculars
A wonderful opportunity to stay put and watch the tides and wildlife change in front of you
The house is wonderful with all the details I love when away from home.
The host was easy to reach, responding quickly to messages when needed.
The area offers a multitude of recreational activities if you can tear yourself away from the deck
Amazing wildlife and views from the deck. The house and studio combination was great for my family of four plus an additional couple. Beware that there are not many curtains on the windows and the upstairs bedroom in the main house is in an open loft so if you like to sleep in, bring an eye mask and earplugs!
Rare Gem on the Hood Canal has a spectacular view of the water from the house and from the expansive deck. The deck is in need of some loving attention, but it is welcoming with umbrellas and comfy chairs. The kitchen is well appointed. Beds are very comfortable. The kayaking is splendid, and swimming at nearby river a treat. Owners are warm and helpful in all communications.
The property was spotless upon arrival and had everything we needed. Very comfortable accomodations and layout for two couples. Checking in and out was a breeze.
We loved the beautiful views and wildlife, seeing seals, otters, an elk herd and bald eagles just off the deck every day. The property was well maintained and seemed very private and secluded.
Having kayaks and a canoe available was a definite plus.
Overall it was a wonderful place to stay.

We had a great time. Kayaks were so much fun to have. Well stocked kitchen. We used the mother in law cottage for teens. They loved having their own space. Communication with Tom, the owner, was easy and he responded quickly. We’ll definitely be back

Let’s see, how can I summarize this property ... a great house, spectacular view, excellent kayaking, abundant wildlife, and expert hosting by people who really know what they’re doing. I hope they’re not planning on having much time there themselves as this one’s going to be heavily rented year-round!

What a fantastic week we had, exploring Brinnon and surrounding area. This is a must do for anyone exploring The Olympic Peninsula. VRBO property much more than we anticipated, a wonderful place, to hang out, enough room for our family. The view was beautiful! The view from the Master bedroom breath-taking. A big shout out to our hosts Mary and Tom for their attention to detail in creating an environment that is warm and welcoming. Roy and Denise

Family weekend at the Hood Canal!!!
Before we got to the house we stopped at HAMA HAMA for a bushel of oysters and were able to dig clams on the north side of Dosewallips. Lots of fresh seafood!! Beautiful house with great views. Huge deck for enjoying time outdoors. Large sunroom for kids room or family pets. Good access to beach!! The two bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. A hot tub would be a awesome addition to this property!!!

Wonderful stay! The views were incredible - the living room/dining area, sunroom and master bedroom are east facing huge windows so we could enjoy the views all day! Lovely long table in dining area- can complete puzzles. Great open floor plan. Very comfy beds! We loved sitting around the fire pit at night and relaxing. The owner, Tom, was very approachable - We couldn’t figure out how to get the fire pit working our first night abd he walked us through it- success! Highly recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We really love this place for all the reasons you mentioned. We get back up there next month and can’t wait.
This place could not be better for a quiet cozy get away! The house has everything you would need including fun games, kayaks, all the kitchen gadgets, even a crock pot! Right on the water! The wildlife was spectacular and the sun rises from the master bedroom...just wow!
There are tons of nearby hiking trails and state parks. The restaurant that you can WALK to has the best food (take out only because of the COVID)
I sure hope I can stay here again! Best vacation rental EVER!
