About this property

Just two hours from NYC, but a universe away. Sitting on a county road, four spacious, light-filled bedrooms on 14 wooded acres with a babbling brook and a private in-ground pool!!!! Escape with family or friends for a special weekend or a whole week. IN winter, snow shoe and ski. In summer, hike, barbecue and swim. And swim. And swim! Our 4 BR 100-year-old farmhouse is immaculate, classic and elegant, yet comfortably worn enough for a family or families, with or without kids. It’s an old house though so we ask for guests who can be gentle on it. We’re near Handsome Hollow, French Woods, Bethel Woods, Callicoon, the spectacular Delaware River and nature's beauty! With satellite internet wifi, Hulu, Netflix, cell reception through the wifi -- and DVD movies! We look forward to seeing you! NOTE: We have NO A/C!!!!!!!! Usually don’t need it up here in the mountains but lots of fans!!!

We had a great time!

The pool was awesome, and the kids loved the toys, costumes, and games in the house. It was a remote spot, but we found Buckbrook Alpaca farm and Goldschein’s Homestead within a reasonable drive to pet and feed adorable animals. We spent some time in Callicoon for groceries and restaurants. We also went tubing at Skinner’s Falls. We had a great time!

Buffet

Stayed with a group of friends attending Jimmy Buffett concert at Bethel Woods. Drive to venue about 35 minutes. Property was big with a great pool. Quiet area, great starry night. Had everything we needed! Would stay again!

Great weekend away from the city!

We enjoyed our stay! Really nice pool. Host was great at communicating and very helpful. We also saw amazing stars at night!

Beautiful location - amazing pool

The home was located right in the middle of mountains and beautiful nature! We really enjoyed the pool, the fact that it was heated made it comfortable at night and when it was cooler in the day. I appreciated the rustic/old farm home style of the home, however there were a few upgrades I’d make for comfort, those include adding some more blinds/curtains in the bedrooms (very sunny), and then looking into the water pressure of the shower and the floor mat / curtain for the shower because it was hard not to get everything wet. Other than that we thought the home was comfortable, very pretty and the pool made the experience very fun. We cooked every meal in the kitchen and it worked out great. We also found the fans very helpful if it did get warm, and the space works for 8 people. Thanks!
