This charming one bedroom, one bath 2nd floor property features an Olympic queen in the master bedroom and a large covered deck off the the living room, updated bath and bedroom. The living room, which includes a sleeper sofa, is close to the kitchen, and dining areas. Both the living room and bedroom have televisions... | This lovely property is also close to the pool and and private assigned parking. Shipyard Condominiums are located in the Truman Annex Complex which is located 2 blocks from Duval Street and all of the Old Town Key West attractions. The properties are also located 1/4 mile from one of the best beaches on the island. The Shipyard units are single level condominiums which have private courtyards on the first level or balconies on the second level. All properties are outfitted with washer/dryer, pots, pans, towels linens, have central air conditioning, off street parking and pool access.
Please note: This property will require a minimum of a 28 night stay.

The property was well maintained and central in location to all of the activities we had planned for our vacation. We were able to walk or ride bikes to all locations. Compass Reality Staff members were helpful and easy to work with. Very lovely stay.

Reviewer Comments: We had stayed in the Truman Annex four years ago and of course it was about half the price (sadly everything has increased in price), in another unit. This last one was dated and needed extra care such as the windows being filthy and the screens plugged with dirt. The bathroom could use glazing in the tub and a new sink. Overall the whole experience was great with best location nice pool and safe grounds.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First the positives: The Truman Annex is an excellent location to stay in Key West. We were able to walk to the restaurants, music spots and the Ft Zachery Beach. Also very close to the Hemingway House and the Lighthouse. Annie’s Hideaway is very small but very clean and had enough space for 2 people. The negative: The bed has a pillow topper which loses its appeal after a few days and we were there for 2 weeks. My biggest complaint is management does not provide basic toiletries for a 2 week stay. All we expect is toilet paper, hand soap and dish soap( this unit does not have a dishwasher). Management told me they only provide enough basics for a few days. We stay at rental units quite often throughout the year and they are always well stocked. This is not how it’s typically done. I will stay at Truman Annex again but will look into a different rental company.

This is our second stay at Shipyard. It is a perfect location. Did not rent a car this time and just rented bikes from We Cycle (close by). Other than the need to pick up keys at a separate location it was great.

Super Location

Very near Duval Street. Near the sights. We rode bicycles every where. We loved the condo, it was very clean and well appointed. The AC was very cool and plenty of hot water and bath towels. They even had beach towels. No noise was heard from outside. Bed was super.
