About this property

Our "Cottage by the Sea" is 2nd Row from the ocean (75 yds) in the cottage community of Sunset Square, Garden City Beach. No ocean view but a consistent ocean breeze.

The living area includes a sofa and loveseat with built-in electric recliners. Spectrum WiFi. TVs with Spectrum cable service.

A fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need during your stay for a gourmet meal or quick snack. All major appliances plus toaster oven, blender, Keurig and standard coffee makers.

BEDROOMS: Master bedroom offers a king bed, TV, plenty of storage with private bathroom. Guest bedroom offers 2 twin beds with private bathroom and TV.
All linens are furnished.

POLICIES

1) No pets per HOA. A $200 damage fee will be charged if pets are discovered at the cottage.
2) Minimum age to book our cottage is 25.
3) No group parties exceeding 5 guests are allowed at our privately owned cottage.
Security cameras on our street and monitored. No cameras inside the cottage.
4) Limited parking for 3 vehicles. No overflow parking available. Small trailers, golf carts and motorcycles are welcome if parked under the cottage.

SECURITY / DAMAGE DEPOSITS:
We do not request our guests to pay a refundable security deposit. Instead we ask the traveler booking the reservation to purchase the $59 damage/security insurance policy offered by VRBO to cover incidental, accidental or intentional damages, lost keys, lockouts etc. for our rental. If you choose to cancel the $59 damage/security insurance policy after booking our rental, the reservation will be cancelled. The traveler booking the reservation is responsible for their group while staying at the rental. Thank you!

EARLY DEPARTURES:
We are unable to refund for early check-outs. The only exception - the Governor mandated an evacuation.

Hurricanes - refunds are based upon our current cancellation policy. The exception will be if the Governor issues an evacuation of "Zone A" due to the threat of a hurricane. Zone A is beach front. If a guest is currently staying at our rental and Zone A has been ordered to evacuate by the Governor, we will refund the remaining dates. Guests are required to evacuate and cannot remain in the rental.

Very happy

Very happy overall with our stay and this property. Clean and updated, easy access to the beach and restaurants. Good communication. One very very minor thing: there’s no access to the storage room under the house to lock up the beach stuff we brought so we pulled it up onto the porch each night. This would also mean for anyone who doesn’t bring their own chairs etc that there’s not any available for use at the house. We come by car so we do bring our own, but just something to note.

Quick beach getaway

Quick back to school getaway. Close to beach (easily walkable - will need to cross one street with moderate traffic), great parking, spacious enough unit for our needs. Could improve shower heads and faucets in each bathroom which are a little rickety. Beds and pillows were not the most comfortable. Found one roach and a few other bugs lurking about. Be warned about fireworks popping at beach each night if you have small kids to put to bed. Otherwise it was fine.
