Thanksgiving beach visit

The house we rented was spacious and well furnished with a huge covered back deck and plenty of seating for outdoor socializing. Convenient to the Village and pier.

Tucked Away in September

Tucked Away is a lovely place to stay on the island. The location is an easy walk to the main street with restaurants, shops, and a public pool. , The lighthouse and pier are an easy walk straight down Dermere Rd. The house is well done throughout. The master on the main is a nice size with plenty of closet space and ensuite. The bedrooms upstairs are a good size and with plenty of storage. The back deck is wonderfully equipt with a large TV and lovely seating. All the TVs were a great size. The outdoor shower has hot and cold, sweet. The kitchen is well stocked but lacks a kettle for boiling water for tea. Beach towels are available which makes one less item to pack, there was even a beach bag to use. Fullsize washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. This house is home on the island, just lovely.

Great location with plenty of room

This house was accurate to the online listing. The location was perfect, a short 5 minute walk to the beach (5th street public beach access). We were also a short walk or golf cart ride to the pier village where a lot of great restaurants and local shops are located and in the other direction a short walk to the local brewery and a few other popular restaurants. The house has plenty of room and a fully fenced in back yard. As this is a pet friendly location, the fenced in backyard was a pleasant surprise for my dog that came on the trip with us.

Recommendation to owner rather than review

Recommend changing the lock hardware for front and back doors. The front door does not latch, requiring deadbolt use to hold door closed. Back door constantly locks people out even after unlocking, which could have been really bad if someone was there alone. Otherwise everything was great!

Christmas vacation

Both of our children live in different states, and we rented this home so we could all be together for Christmas near the beach. They each had their own cozy room and bathroom, and we all enjoyed the comfortable living spaces together too. There are plenty of towels, bedding, and linens available. We reserved a guided fishing tour, played golf, shopped in the quaint local village, and walked on the beach. We made some of our meals in the fully stocked kitchen, and ate at a few of the local restaurants. Being from the midwest, we don't often have many fresh seafood restaurants. We all decided that we would love to come back!

Awesome

We were 3 couples and there was more than enough space to accommodate our needs! Kay was a gracious hostess which helped to enhance our trip to the Island!! The house was stocked with everything we needed ~ wanted for nothing! Loved sitting out on the deck to enjoy the yard and the singing birdies :)

Comfortable cottage setting

We immediately felt comfortable in this cottage. There was plenty of room. Only thing that would have made it more enjoyable is a pool.

Our Family Loved this Beautiful Beach House!

My family stayed at this beautiful beach house for Spring Break 2019. My husband and I have two teenage daughters. They each had their own spacious, beautifully decorated bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The downstairs had a large beautifully decorated master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and another full bathroom just down the hall. The family room was super comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need and more. There's an enchanting conservatory where you can read and relax with lots of natural sunlight. The owner set up an adorable desk with watercolor paint, brushes and paper. So, my daughter had a lot of fun painting a couple of pictures! We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the back porch. We absolutely love this house and hope to return someday!

Loved This House

We stayed here over the Christmas holiday and really loved the house. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and only minutes from the beach, in fact we walked to the shops and beach each day. The fenced in back yard was perfect if you bring your dog and the patio is nice and sunny while the backyard is beautifully landscaped. The house is very open and comfortable with a beachy vibe and the kitchen has every thing you will ever need...we were able to cook a complete Christmas dinner. The house was perfect for our family and hopefully, we will be back.

Lovely Home-Close to everything!

The house was great, big and roomy. The deck was large enough to eat outside and the yard was fenced. Close to both the village and the beach! Weather was perfect! The large Sony TV over the fireplace was great. Everything you could possibly need was there and Ms Sapp was a doll. With some new towels this vacation home would be impossible to beat!
