The space
Welcome to Your Tranquil Redwood Escape!
Nestled beneath a canopy of towering trees, this enchanting 1906 cabin offers the perfect blend of historic character and rustic serenity. Whether you're seeking solitude, romance, or quality time, this peaceful haven invites you to unplug and reconnect with nature’s rhythm.
A Historic Retreat with Character:
Built in 1906, this preserved redwood cabin exudes authentic charm. Two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms comfortably accommodate up to four guests. From the open beam ceilings to the vintage stove and slightly uneven floors, every detail tells a story from a simpler time.
Cozy Living with Vintage Warmth:
Inside, the living room invites slow moments, curl up with a book, share conversation by the stone fireplace, or enjoy forest views. The breakfast nook is ideal for peaceful mornings. Though there’s no A/C, fans and the natural shade of redwoods keep it cool and comfortable.
Functional Kitchen with Nostalgic Flair:
Upstairs, a fully equipped kitchen provides all essentials for preparing simple meals. The vintage stove adds whimsical charm, while the breakfast nook offers a cozy place to start your day. A full bathroom includes a bathtub, ideal for relaxing soaks after time outdoors.
A Touch of Outdoor Adventure:
In addition to the indoor bath, a tucked-away outdoor toilet and shower offer a refreshing nature-connected experience. These unique features add a playful, rustic touch for guests seeking a little adventure in their stay.
Outdoor Space for Recharging:
Step out onto the spacious deck, surrounded by forest calm. Dine under the trees, sip wine in the open air, or simply take in the peace and quiet. A private washer and dryer on the deck provide added convenience for extended stays and road-weary clothes.
Perfect Base for Exploration:
Just a short drive away, explore redwood trails, nearby artisan towns, and celebrated Sonoma wineries. Return each evening to your private retreat, where off-street parking for up to three vehicles and surrounding fencing ensure both comfort and seclusion.
Digital Detox On Your Terms:
Wi-Fi is available for those who need to stay connected, but the forest may encourage a break from screens. The connection supports streaming and email, though it’s not optimized for multiple video calls, perfect for a slower pace and deeper rest.
Embrace Nature’s Rhythms:
With occasional critters, pine needles, and the gentle sounds of the forest, this redwood escape is ideal for guests seeking authenticity, simplicity, and connection. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a slower, more soulful way of living, if only for a few days.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is a vintage cabin with a few quirks that add to its charm, including cozy room sizes and an older stove that requires a little patience. Please note that the hot tub is not available until July. There is no air conditioning, but the shaded forest setting keeps the space naturally cool. Fans are provided for warmer days. Due to the remote location, WiFi is available but may vary in speed, ideal for streaming and email, though not optimal for multiple video calls. As the cabin is surrounded by nature, occasional critters and pine needles are part of the experience. We maintain regular pest control to ensure comfort.
Guest access
You'll have full access to the entire home during your stay. This includes:
- Two comfortable bedrooms (one with a king bed, the other with two twin beds)
- 1.5 bathrooms (please note: the half bathroom is located outside the main house)
- A fully equipped kitchen
- A cozy living room for relaxing or gathering
PLEASE NOTE: HOT TUB NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL JULY
Other things to note
This is a vintage cabin built in 1906, so you may notice a few quirks here and there—slightly uneven floors, cozy room sizes, and a charming (but old) stove that takes a little patience. We think it adds to the magic, but want you to be comfy and informed!
There is no air conditioning. The cabin stays relatively cool thanks to the forest setting and shaded deck, but we provide fans for warmer days.
We’re in the forest! Expect the occasional critter or pine needle—nature is part of the charm. We have regular pest control and do our best to keep everything tidy.
WiFi is available, but due to the remote setting, speeds can vary. Great for streaming and email—maybe not ideal for multiple Zoom meetings.
We love this little place and hope you will too. If you ever have questions before booking, feel free to reach out!
PLEASE NOTE: While we do have a hot tub, it will not be available for use until the beginning of July 2025. Thank you for understanding.
