Wake up to breathtaking views of the Mackinac Bridge, Bois Blanc Island, and Mackinac Island right from your backyard! With 150 feet of private beachfront, there’s plenty of space for family and friends to gather, for kids to explore, and for everyone to enjoy peaceful lakefront living.

This spacious lake house features 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 13 guests. Perfect for a couple getaway or a multi-family retreat.

Nestled among mature trees, the property offers plenty of privacy and parking for additional vehicles, boats, or snowmobiles. Guests also have access to a spare garage.

Nearby Adventures:
Across the street is the main snowmobile trail off US 23, which is perfect for biking, walking, or running during the summer and fall. Follow it to Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park, located just four miles away, or head ten minutes into Mackinaw City to catch a ferry to the islands.

Whether you are exploring shipwrecks, relaxing by the fire pit on the beach, or ziplining through the trees at Mill Creek, Island View Shores is the perfect place to create memories that will last a lifetime.

Seasonal Details:
Summer stays require a seven-night minimum, Friday to Friday.
There is no air conditioning in the home, but cool lake breezes and open windows provide nature’s perfect air conditioning.

Pet Policy:
Well-behaved dogs are welcome with a non-refundable fee of $50 per dog and a signed Dog Agreement. However, dogs that are allowed on furniture or beds at home are not permitted to stay at Island View Shores. To maintain the home’s cleanliness and comfort for all guests, pets must stay off all furniture and bedding at all times.

Nice house, amazing backyard

We enjoyed the spacious rooms, the kids had so much fun bunking together! Having a beach and beautiful lake out outback door was just so magical. We hated to leave.

A very nice property

This is a well-maintained, well-equipped cottage in a good location with proximity to Mackinaw sites. Stacey is an excellent communicator and provided very detailed and helpful information at several times during the booking and check-in and check-out steps. The pictures don't do it justice, especially outside - the beach area is excellent. Highly recommended.

Lakefront getaway

The check-in procedure was seamless. The host communicated quickly and gave us all the info we needed to enjoy our stay. The piece de resistance was the setting, right on the lake with a large yard and views from the living area.

Mackinaw Bridge View

Every year my girl friends and I get together for an annual trip. This year happened to fall on our 50th class reunion in Michigan so we rented this beautiful house on Lake Huron. Easy 1 hour drive to Charlevoix and Petoskey and 7 minutes to Mackinaw City. Wonderful view of the bridge and Lake Huron. Nice fire pit and with 5 bedrooms and 5 girls we all had a room to ourselves!! Very well stocked with all that you need to relax in comfort. Our host, Stacey, was very helpful with even the simplest questions. Really enjoyed our stay and would rent again if we are back in the area.

Christmas Vacation 2023

Couldn’t have been better!! The property was exactly as described! The communication with the host was great from beginning to end. This was our first destination Christmas holiday with our adult children and their spouses and we even brought the grandmas along! We were able to cook meals together, enjoyed family time on the beach with a bonfire on Christmas Day, hiked local trails accessible right across the street from the property. Even though it was not something we needed, I was impressed with the fully accessible handicapped style shower/bathroom. The special touches throughout the home made a lasting impression including the welcome basket on the kitchen counter when we arrived. Already looking for dates for our next stay!

Great place to unplug-amazing views of Lake Huron

This home and location was fantastic. You are 10min from the adjoining towns which have plenty of stores, restaurants, and shops to accommodate a long stay. The kitchen was the most stocked kitchen in any property we’ve stayed at which was nice, since we didn’t have to go purchase everything for simple meals. The private beach was so calming and just a great view altogether. We usually flock to Florida but decided to change it up, this did not disappoint. Notes- the owner mentions the wifi is not premium, this is true. So if you have work to do or plan on being on your phone a lot just know it’s not very quick and can’t handle lots of people online at once. Mackinaw city would be a good place to get wifi if needed for work. I personally enjoyed this feature since we spent a significant amount outdoors and doing what was needed-unplugging. This was my first time visiting Michigan and I would definitely return. The owner was very responsive and organized and even offered suggestions on things to do in the area. The pictures with booking could be updated as they don’t do justice to the actual beauty of the area.

We recently stayed at this property, and while there were some positives, the experience overall did not meet our expectations—especially considering the cost.Pros:• Great location in a peaceful setting• Beautiful scenery all around• The house was very clean and well-keptCons:• No air conditioning – We only found this out through an email a week before our trip. For the amount we paid, AC should absolutely be included. This alone made the stay uncomfortable and not worth the cost.• Safety concerns in the backyard – The deck has no railing, and five of our kids fell off it. It was also difficult for some family members to get down safely due to the lack of proper steps or handrails.• Small and understocked kitchen – The kitchen was very tight, realistically only allowing one person in at a time. It was also understocked, especially in terms of silverware, which wasn’t sufficient for our group.• Only one TV – There was just a single television in the entire house, which felt inadequate for a rental property of this size in today’s day and age, especially when traveling with a group or family.• Beach access – While scenic, the beach is very rocky in the water and not kid-friendly for swimming.• Outdoor pests – There were a lot of flies and bugs outside, which made it hard to enjoy the outdoor space. We recommend bringing lavender oil or bug repellent if you plan to stay.We’re glad we tried this location but will not be returning.

Gorgeous and comfortable - great for groups big and small

Our group of 6 adults & 4 kids had a fabulous time here! This place has a wonderful layout & very functional space. It was a great place to merge our multiple families. We agreed it would be a comfortable space for groups big and small. The host was a delight to work with! And the home was very clean and had great details too - ample dishes, good back stock of ingredients, high quality seating and bedding. Plus the outdoor space was amazing with a fire pit, extra chairs & endless adventures for kids and adults. We will definitely be back and would love to see each season from this place!
