Rustic Log Cabin -Water Front, Boating, Fishing, Air conditioned!

Beautiful 85 year old log cabin located on the North East end of Burt Lake in scenic northern Michigan.

*****Rents Saturday to Saturday Beginning of June - to the end of August!

*****Signed leased must be returned to owner prior to check in or your reservation will be cancelled.

Completely renovated and up to date situated on 80 feet of shoreline, our cabin offers four bedrooms and three new bathrooms.
Master bedroom includes a king size bed with whirlpool in the room. Cozy loft with a low ceiling is just great for kids.

A private dock provides easy access to your boat along with a private 2 mooring buoy.

Recreational Items that come with Cabin outside and inside games.

Complete modern amenities compliment our cabin with all you will need for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Everything is new except the walls and the Antiques!

-Master bedroom with with king size bed along with whirlpool tub.
-2 single bedroom - down the hall from master.

1st floor road level:
Three beautiful bedrooms with 2 singles lake side along with and one large bedroom with 2 double beds. Queen size bedroom located road side.

1 double bed.

- Livingroom
Spare Sleeper sofa may accommodate 2 extra guests for a total of sixteen people.

Kitchen - Fully equipped, including dishwasher, microwave, and stove.
Living room - entertainment a new Big screen TV with VCR and DVD Player.
Laundry room- located in walkout basement.

Bar area located in living room with its own Mimi frig.

Fire pit with fire wood, gas grill, picnic table, and 10 x10 sand box for the kids are all located lake side.

Activities: Boating on the Inland Water Way, horse back riding, skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing, Foosball in our game room and a shuffle board court are just a few of the many activities you can do at our cabin.

A private dock provides easy access to your boat along with a 2 private mooring buoy.
Cabin water front has a rocky shore the first 20 feet out then turns into a sandy bottom staying waist high for almost 100 yards. It’s excellent for younger kids 5 years and up who enjoy swimming.

We furnish a sand box for smaller children who want to play in the sand. Off the dock, kids and adults that act like kids will enjoy catching crawfish and minnows.

Boats can be rented at Indian River Marina for the week or the day.


Area: Cabin is located less than 22 miles to Makinaw, less than 25 miles to Petoskey, and 10 miles from Indian River Golf Club.

Riding stable is located ¼ mile from cabin just across the street from Hoppies Tavern.

Snowmobile trails are just 10 minutes away.

Guy's weekend at Burt Lake

The owner, Chuck was very good to deal with. We really enjoyed the rustic outdoor theme in the house, perfect for a guy's weekend! We'll definitely come back again.

Wonderful Log Cabin

Our family of 6 adults and 3 children had plenty of room and comfort at this cabin. All of the amenities were provided to make our week very enjoyable. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very functional, indoor and outdoor eating areas were great and a washer and dryer was nice. The grounds were great for activities and water access was good for boating.

A great getaway

I picked this house because of the cozy looking living room. And it did not disappoint. A beautiful view from the living room was perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee on a chilly morning. A huge kitchen table where we puzzled and played games. The host and his helpers were very accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked.

Amazing memories with family

If you’re looking for a great family cabin on Burt lake, this is the spot. We spent endless summer nights playing games in the yard and swimming in the lake followed by bon fires and crayfish hunts. Host is easily accessible and house has so much stuff to make your stay enjoyable and lots of sleeping accommodations for big families. The house sits in a neighborhood- like environment close to neighbors but we had no issues

Cook Family Gathering

The house was roomy and clean. It easily fit 10 people. We had spacious room outside for games and activities. The house was also close to attractions like Mackinaw Island, the Soo Locks in Sault Saint Marie and easy access to small northern Michigan towns for dining and shopping.

Family Thanksgiving Retreat

Great Place

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean & comfortable. Each of the 9 ladies on our girls trip especially enjoyed having their own bed…no sharing! And 3 bathrooms were perfect! The property is spacious…enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks, and shuffleboard. Beautiful, clear lake for swimming. Chuck (owner) was very responsive to our communication efforts, and has a wonderful manager just a few houses away for any questions or situations that come up. I would go back anytime, and will be recommending the cabin to others.

Magical week on Burt Lake

Our group of 10 absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! We had 4 adults, 3 teens & 3 kids. There were plenty of beds for everyone to be comfortable & have space to themselves. We thought the two extra drink fridges were a great touch - so helpful when the main fridge was packed with our food for the week. The lake water was crystal clear & it was a total bonus for it to be shallow near the dock so the kids could get in & out of the water without worry. We rented a pontoon from Indian River Marina - it was a beautiful, 40ish minute boat ride from the marina to the cabin. Day trips to Mackinac & Petoskey were a piece of cake due to the central location of the property. Badminton & shuffleboard were a hit with everyone! Chuck was easy to communicate with from start to finish. Thanks for sharing your slice of Burt Lake with us!

From the check in to the amenities, this property was a great experience. My granddaughter enjoyed playing in the sandbox and we all enjoyed kayaking, swimming & making s’mores at the campfire. Lakeview was beautiful (we even saw the northern lights!). The kitchen had everything we needed for a dinner cooked on the grill. Thorough walk through at checkin. Highly recommend!

Awesome Lake Front Cabin

We used the cabin as a centralized hub to all of the wonderful sights within a short drive. Our Texas family has never been to upper Michigan and being from Michigan I wanted to share some of the best places I have visited with them. We visited Mackinac Bridge, Soo Locks, Shipwreck Museum, Tahquamenon Falls, Tunnel of Trees, Morel Mushroom Hunting, of course Lake Michigan, Huron, and Superior, then on our journey home stopped at Silver Lake and rode Mac Woods Dune Ride and visited the Tin Man in Hart Michigan. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy. We loved having a camp fire right on the edge of the lake and the sunsets were gorgeous. One of the coolest things was witnessing the great fire fighting air tankers located in Gaylord Michigan quickly putting out a forest fire that started just a few miles from the cabin using water collected from Burt Lake. The air tankers collected water right in front of the cabin.
