Gorgeous and charming home right on the water. Short, accessible path to the beach and a short walk or drive to town. The house had everything we needed from beach toys to a clam digger and all the kitchen gadgets. We loved our stay!
There is a lovely ease to this house. The view out the sunroom is constantly changing. All the beds and seating are comfortable. It has the character of a lived in home, beloved by generations. The site is quiet and private. Being in Seaside versus Cannon Beach means it is quieter and has less traffic.
We had a wonderful stay here, the house was lovely and had everything we could need for our stay. The location was beautiful and just a quick drive into town. The host was great, we had a small issue when we arrived that she promptly addressed (while out of the country!) and followed up to make sure all was well. We hope to be again next year!
We had an amazing time at this beautiful beach house. Great location, lovely views and sunsets, lots of activities. Couldn't be better! Thank you for sharing your home!

This is a great location to get away for a quiet retreat. From the sun room you get a view of the ocean. The kitchen is nicely stocked and makes it easy to prepare meals. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets to stay warm. The family room has plenty of space to spread out and read a book or stream a movie. It's a nice walk into downtown Seaside.
Good location, and great fun watching the tidal estuary fill and empty daily. It was a bit muddy in the river bed, but there was always some sandy beach for a morning walk. The house is as described, a combo of funk and fun--well furnished, comfortable, good bed, and occasionally slanted floors upstairs. The best room in the house is the glass- enclosed porch that faces the estuary and ocean beyond it, fills with warmth and light in the evening. A perfect sunset place and light and bright in the morning for coffee. We enjoyed our time there. My partner was a bit put off by the slanty upstairs floors--in our 70s, it made the nighttime walk from bedroom to bathroom a bit more adventurous that he prefers. A very pleasant place and interesting location.
Our family really enjoyed staying at this beautiful waterfront home. The house was clean, the home was well stocked with all the essentials and the location was perfect! We spent every morning walking out along the estuary, days down the road walking through the promenade and evenings watching the sun set right out the back porch! Jodi was an amazing host and very quick with responding to our questions! Such a beautiful place to spend our family vacation!
First time to Oregon and we fell in love. The location on the estuary was magical for the kids. House was lovely and had that old fisherman house vibe. Updates were nice. Only issue we had was the floor hand been mopped in a long time. The 10 minute drive to Canon Beach was beautiful and we made it every day. We’ll be back to the OR coast.
Comfortable remodeled farmhouse feel with the walls, ceiling and floors covered with beautiful woodwork. Everything from the farm kitchen to the furnishings and decorations made this house a home.
So many windows allowed a panoramic view of the river and ocean. Jodi was a great host who was available and super helpful. My son and I had a very relaxing
long weekend.
We LOVED this place. The house is exactly how I would update my grandparents 1905 beach cottage if they'd had one. Not a fancy overhaul, but a simple functional update without erasing a century of beautifully rustic character.
The location was outstanding. We spent many, many hours exploring the estuary at low tide and looking for routes all the way out to the ocean. We loved tracking various birds through the sand, looking for crabs and sand dollars, and watching spectacular sunsets from the back porch.
And it's a quick drive into town for all the tourist-y bits, too.

We are so happy you enjoyed yourself. We just love sharing our home with guests who love and appreciate it as much we do.
Charming house with gorgeous estuary and ocean views. Very functional and well-supplied kitchen. Clean bathrooms and lots of towels, bedding. Cleaners could do a better job of vacuuming - some cobwebs and dead flies. Picked up some litter in front yard first day of stay.
This historic home has a cottage feel but all the necessities. The location is incomparable. Looking out over the estuary and beach, you feel you have the coast to yourself. We loved the sunroom where you can nestle in the cozy sofa and admire the view. The living room had ample seating for all six adults in our party and a huge tv to watch movies. The dining room was perfect for meals and games. The kitchen had an abundance of utensils and appliances so anything was possible for a culinary adventure. The bedrooms accommodated us very nicely. As is clearly stated in the VRBO description of the property this is an older, historic home. Our party relished its charm. It was the perfect base of operations from which to explore the North Oregon coast. Two minor issues were speedily resolved by Jodi. Highly recommend.

Spring Break with Friends
Historic home with lots of character. Ample space for 8. Spring weather on the coast can be finicky. We enjoyed walking on the beach in the sun and taking refuge in the house when the wind and rain came in. Views were great no matter what the weather was like. The kitchen provided everything you could possibly need. There are also an abundance of games, videos, book, kites, rubber boots, too many things to mention! There is a lot of space to spend time together or find some time alone. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful time!

I am so glad you had a great time. Thank you so much for staying with us. We hope we will have you back. Jodi
We stayed here in 2014 and our family loved it so much they have talked for the last 9 years about the best vacation ever— so when my now adult daughter (she was 14 back then) suggested we get together for a special family celebration, we both immediately said we wanted to go to Seaside (from Texas). She was elated we could book the same house because the thing she wanted to do most was sit in the sun room and read a book like she did all those years ago. The house did not disappoint and we had a special time making memories again while reliving old ones — putting the crab traps out, watching the sun set and rise, and cooking together in the kitchen. Now, my adult son is saying it is his turn to go back! Jodi is a wonderful host, the house has everything one could need, and we would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area for unforgettable memories that are definitely worth driving 2000 miles to experience again!
This house was just what the doctor ordered. Nicely equipped with all that we needed in the kitchen. Beautiful view out over the inlet: such a great beachside location with smaller kids. House is located on the hill, so have to walk down stairs to get to the beach. But once on beach it is flat and inland a bit so was out of the main Oregon beach wind gusts.
Pictures seem to actually present house. Older style, with some nice upgrades. Only odd thing is no shower on second floor where all the bedrooms are at, so had to go downstairs to shower. Wasn’t an issue, and the bath upstairs was perfect for the kids.
Fun to have the clam guns and some beach toys available for use. There are lots of items left for communal use that made us think we had come to someone’s actual home :-)
We quite enjoyed our stay, and look forward to the next time we get to escape the city to stay again!

Alia,
Thank you so much for your nice and informative review. Yes, the beach house is definitely our home, not just a rental. We are glad that you enjoyed it. We hope to host you again.
It's virtually impossible to describe how wonderful this house, its location, and Jodi (the manager) made our first vacation since the pandemic.
First, we stayed at the end of February 2021 and the house in Winter was spectacular as it looks out over tidal rivers with ocean surf pounding in the distance. Saw countless shorebirds, including Bald Eagles catching fish in the river directly behind the house. Then, the house itself is charming and full of character. It's scrupulously clean, and fitted out with an incredible array of high-quality kitchen equipment and utensils, plenty to keep any serious chef happy. The furniture, towels, and bedding were equal to luxury hotels, along with wifi and AppleTv we couldn't ask for anything more
And lastly but maybe most importantly, we can't sing the praises of Jodi the manager enough. She worked with us on scheduling issues we had, and then was immediately available, pleasant, and helpful with our one-and-only question.
We are already planning our next trip there with our entire family this time.

Wow, what an amazing review. Thank you so much. With most of our guests staying in the summer, fewer experience the magical winters. The bald eagles, the elk in the yard, and the quiet beach make this time of year my favourite time of the year to be here. I'm glad that you got to experience it, and I hope that we will have the chance to host you again.
We really enjoyed the historic house and location. Staying on the estuary was neat and seeing the birds and small fish and other creatures as the tides came in and out was lots of fun as well - especially for our nature-minded group. Paddle boarding was easy when the tide was in on the estuary. The glassed-in porch was a treasure that all enjoyed. The cooks kitchen was fabulously appointed and we enjoyed cooking in it. We would definitely stay here again for the location and the charm and Jodi has done a nice job of making it well appointed without feeling fussy. The bathrooms and the house were very clean for sure. The refrigerator was an exception and did not appear to have been recently wiped out, and I assume, an accidental oversight. I just wiped it out and moved on. I recommend that guests leave their shoes at the door in order to avoid tracking in prickly plant debris. We vacuumed a couple of time throughout the week and left our shoes at the entry. All enjoyed the hosts tips and the boardwalk and the nearby parks. We hope to come back again!
