The Dock View House is a spacious four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home located within Mermaid's Bay Boutique Estate—a private 3.5-acre bayfront retreat in the heart of downtown Islamorada. The estate features 300' of bayfrontage, a pool and hot tub, protected boat basin and more. Originally built in the 1940s, the home retains its island charm while offering modern comforts and generous indoor-outdoor living.

Another great stay

We have stayed at Mermaid's Bay (the Dock House and Bay View Cottage) multiple times over the past several years. Our most recent stay was as great as ever. Terrific location, amazing property/grounds and wonderful accommodations. As always, Jocelyn and Tony are always available to help out with any issues, questions, etc. We look forward to coming back very soon!

Perfect week.

This was our second trip to this property and both times our stay was great. It is a perfect location as far as restaurants and things to see. My son, daughter-in-law and his three kids snorkeled, paddle boarded, fished and kayaked every day. The kitchen is well equipped with just about anything you need to cook your meals

Wow!

An incredible property located in the heart of Islamorada (our favorite Key). The grounds were very well kept and the house was spotless. There really is no better place to stay in the Keys! Jocelyn and Tony made sure everything was perfect for us all of the time we were there. Highly recommend!

Amazing location!

Our family of 6 adults rented this property and we can’t say enough positive things about it. The grounds are beautiful, with spectacular sunset views. The pool rivals a resort. The house is huge with a full bath for each of the four bedrooms. It’s close to all of the local attractions. We wish we could have stayed a month! Thank you Tony!

Best VRBO ever

This was the best VRBO I’ve ever stayed at. I brought my wife, children, and grandchildren for a week. Everyone had a great time. We used the kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeled in the basin. The kitchen was totally equipped to cook anything you desired. The kids were worried that we wouldn’t have a Christmas Tree but to our surprise there was a fully decorated tree when we arrived. There was even a Key Lime Pie in the refrigerator. The are good restaurants and attractions nearby. We will definitely come back again!

Awesome House! A must for families...

What a great place for families! The house, view, dock, pool and landscaping were absolutely beautiful. I could go on and on! The pictures don’t do it justice! The highlight was seeing a manatee visit us and watching my grandkids seeing and waving to her! Tony was a great host and it was a pleasure to meet him! We’ll definitely be back next year. It will become our annual family vacation spot!

Fantastic home on the water

Beautiful home and setting. We stayed in the main house but they have two other houses in the property. I kept thinking how awesome this would be for several families to rent all three houses. Pool was very nice and I especially liked that it was cooled so that it was still refreshing in the summer. I don’t think the listing said that an outdoor grill was at the house but it was and we used it several times. Very convenient location with Publix less than 1/2 mile down the road. The owner/manager was there when we checked in to show us around and help if we had any issues but we didn’t. Perfect stay. We will definitely stay here again.

Magical!

Everyone in our group had THE BEST time at this magical property. The pool has a. shallow area for toddlers, lots of umbrellas for shade-seekers and is sparkling clean ( unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t working but that was the only problem). Snorkeling right in front of the house, fishing from the kayaks or bulkhead, throwing a baseball on the expansive lawn, reading in hammocks…every time we left the house for an adventure we couldn’t wait to return. An ice machine and purified water tank in the kitchen plus bbq and outside dining area were welcome additions not pictured on the VRBO listing. This is a special spot!

Above and Beyond - what a beautiful property!

Stayed in this home for our yearly family reunion. What a great place to make some family memories! Sunsets were gorgeous! This home offers it all - each of the 4 bedrooms has it's own private bathroom . The common area even has two 1/2 bathrooms! The owners did a fabulous job when they renovated this property. No detail was left out and the place was super clean. (I would even say, this is the cleanest property I have every rent out.) The kitchen was really spacious. Offered pretty much everything we needed to prepare and serve our meals. The commercial gas stove was a delight to cook on and the stand alone ice maker was a life saver - definitely a plus to cool down our beverages during the Florida HOT summer days. Their unique handmade one of a kind dinning room table is really neat - we enjoyed gathering around it each evening to eat our dinner creations. The exterior of the home also wins our approval - with 5 stars! Beautiful well kept tropical grounds, resort style pool (complete with a waterfall!), BBQ grills and the owners even left us 2 bundles of firewood to use in the fire ring at the end of the dock. The dock is huge and can accommodate a couple of boats if need be. They even have a boat ramp on property if needing to put your boat in the water on arrival. We loved it all! Pictures on the VRBO site don't do this property justice. It is way better in person! Owners were very kind and easy to communicate with. Tony usually stopped by the property daily to check on things. We were fine with the hands on management. Tony made us feel welcome and if we needed anything he was available, yet he was respectful of our privacy also. He was as hands on as we wanted him to be. We loved this place and will forever remember the wonderful memories we made this summer. We will definitely be back!
