I travel a lot for work, and when I have the opportunity to not stay in a hotel when my assignment is lengthy, I choose to seek an alternative. I was lucky in so many ways to find this Casita. It was clean, offered all the amenities that I was looking for and most of all the host was terrific. I was there for a couple of months and I would stay again if given the opportunity and availability. When traveling is in your job description, you never feel as if you are "home" until you get back to where you choose to live. While on this assignment, I really felt as if I were going home at the end of the work day. It is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of many good restaurants, as well as grocery and department stores. For me one of the things I enjoyed the very most was the beautiful dog that belongs to the host that would welcome me and hang out in the comfortable outdoor space available. I honestly never traveled into downtown LA, so I can't say how traffic is, but if you are working in the Beverly Hills/Century City area, the drive is easy, the traffic is typical LA traffic and it is also near some really great sites to visit, such as the Le Brea tar pits, the Hollywood sign and the Grove. So. If comfort outweighs hotel points. When you look at hotel prices and shudder. When you are on an extended stay and like the ability to do you own laundry and cook your own meals. Stay here. Feel at home. Enjoy California living, without living in California.
