Unsafe location, alarm system did not work, very poor linen for bathroom, no way to hang clothes in any closet, beds were 3 inches off the floor so difficult to get in and out of, and had red glowing lights under each one. This was all communicated with the host, and our lawyer will be in contact, since he did not seem concerned at all with our complaints, ad pictures vs actual pictures were also shared with him, we woke up at 5:23am to gunshots nearby, so we packed up and left and found a hotel for the next 2 nights,

Upon arrival, the entire residence smelled of marijuana. The interior was clearly recently renovated. However, when we returned to the rental that night, there was a hole in one of the windows. The host was very responsive to my messages that night, but it was very uncomfortable having a hole in the window. When we woke up, we found a small baggie with white powder left in one of the closets. The neighborhood was less than ideal. The residence is right behind a convenience store on a busy road. Despite the updates and responsive host, next time I travel to the area I will not be revisiting.

Please check the neighborhood before staying. We felt unsafe and left within the first hour of arriving. There were no outlet covers in the one bedroom and they had excessive holes in the walls around the outlets making it unsafe for children and pets. I wouldn’t recommend this home.

Hello Erin, I want to sincerely apologize if you felt unsafe during your stay. As I mentioned previously, the house is equipped with Vivint security, including multiple cameras and lights, to ensure the safety and peace of mind of our guests. When we spoke, you expressed concerns about the appearance of people passing by, which led to your decision to leave. As you mentioned, you left within an hour of arriving, without fully settling in or giving the house a fair chance. Therefore, claiming that the home is unsafe for children or pets, or that there are holes in the walls, is simply not accurate. I understand that we were unable to provide a refund as per Vrbo’s policy, which was beyond our control. However, the house was exactly as advertised, and the location remained unchanged from what was described in the listing. It is unfortunate that the house did not meet your expectations, but I believe it is important to clarify that some of the concerns you raised are unfounded. We would have loved the opportunity to host you properly, and it is regrettable that we couldn't find a better resolution. Dishwasher had stale dirty water in it that leaked uncontrollably onto the floor when we opened it while we were looking for dishes and cookware in the kitchen. Leaked for 10-20 minutes even after closing the door before we found out how to stop it by banging something underneith. We were unable to get ahold of the host during this time. There was no mop we could find so we used the limited number of towels we had to control the leak. There was hardly any cookware and not a lot of dishes to accommodate the amount of people that could stay in the place. The shower had no hot water. The bathroom floor had water seeping through the tile. So even though it appeared dry, your socks got wet if you walked in there. The neighboring shop had a lot of loud music and yelling and banging even at 10 pm. The place was relatively clean with a giant screen TV the we enjoyed a few shows on before going to bed. Altogether, Im glad we only spent one night.
