The loft property was exactly as listed - it is cute & welcoming, clean, homey & comfortable, as well as very close to downtown shops & fun restaurants.

Excellent location. Plenty of close parking. Spacious layout. Comfy King bed. Fresh clean smelling sheets and towels. Walk to restaurants, shops, boutiques, bars, etc downtown. There were two couches that could fold out. And a daybed. A/C worked like a charm- it’s August in Texas so it’s HOT outside. Great ceiling fans and lighting throughout the space.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway!

Location was perfect! Walking distance to many shops and restaurants in Downtown Brenham. Very clean and comfortable. Was everything we needed it to be for a fun Mother/Daughter getaway!

Cozy and quiet

The apartment was very clean very open and quiet. Not much traffic on road. Was able to walk to restaurants and other venue in Downtown Brenham. Thank you for rhe great service.

Cool Place to stay in downtown Brenham

Listing is very accurate and very clear communication from the host. We enjoyed our stay in The Rex Loft. It's a cool place, and the location was perfect for enjoying downtown Brenham on foot.

Great and roomy downtown loft apartment

Our group of 5 adults enjoyed our stay together at this location for a nearby family wedding. It was spacious, clean, quiet, and had everything we needed for our one night stay. We look forward to staying here again later this year for another family wedding in Brenham.

Perfect Location

A perfect location to stay in Brenham, Tx. We easily walked to neighboring boutiques and restaurants. Our host was so thoughtful making check in and check out a breeze. This spacious apartment was clean, welcoming and a place we hope to visit again soon. Could not be happier with our weekend trip.

Great Place to Stay in Brenham

We booked this as a base to travel to the Round Top flea markets. Brenham turned out to be a place to explore all on its own! The Rex was perfect for our needs. It was perfectly located. It was clean and cozy. The King size bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of bathroom linens for our stay.

Brenham Escape

Nice downtown loft apartment easily within walking distance of everything in downtown Brenham. We enjoyed the restaurants and wine bars in the area. My wife especially enjoyed all the retail stores in around the square. We highly recommend.

Weekend Stay- Great Location

This is the perfect spot if you are wanting to stroll the streets of downtown Brenham. Historic and beautiful, owners left bottled water, granola bars, and oatmeal packets. Kuerig coffee maker nice also. King bed was very comfortable, and heater worked great. Basic kitchen and other amenities. Great communication and easy check-in/out process. Cool hidden spot!

Wedding weekend

This loft apartment is in an old building, and is so unique! It is clean, spacious, and eclectic. The a/c works great and was a couple of blocks from all the best shops. We had a wedding to attend at Ant St. Inn and we were able to walk there easily from Old Rex. The king size bed in the loft is very comfy with great sheets and bed quilt. Be sure and get a coffee at The Tilted Windmill!

Hot night Cool tunes

We stayed in Brenham 1 block from the downtown square to enjoy the music. The Rex was situated perfectly for food, music and fun. I recommend the Rex to anyone who wants to stay in Brenham downtown.

Great Place

I stayed here with 2 girlfriends who were getting away for a girls weekend. This was. Cute loft in Downtown where we could walk to shops and cafes. There was plenty of room, beds were comfy and place was clean. We had no issues getting ourselves in upon check in. Will stay again.

Perfect getaway

Why they chose this property

The Rex is located right off the Courthouse square, close to shopping and restaurants. We get the name from this location once operating as The Rex Theatre from 1917-1950's. The loft is located on the 2nd floor with no elevator access, additional flight of stairs inside the loft to the King bed. Guests have access to the entire loft except for 1 closet that remains locked. Guests can also access the balcony. We ask that you do not smoke inside the Loft or on the Balcony

The Rex is located in the downtown historic district just 1 block off the Courthouse square, where you will find shopping, eating, specialty shops, snacks/ice cream.
Free public parking just across from the building and Chase Bank.
