Absolutely precious and cozy place to stay! We will definitely be back!! Conveniently located not far from the hwy, very accessible, and close to good dining. The Sunshine Cottage was the perfect choice for visiting Chappell Hill and Brenham. Also, the host is on top of her game and has an incredible attention to detail!!!

Sue Cobb was delightful and very accommodating. The best hostess of any! The huge back porch was very peaceful and pleasant to sit and have morning coffee. We cooked out one evening and ate at the table on the porch. Sue had extra snacks for us and was available for any needs we had. We diffidently will stay again.

Best little cottage

Love this little cottage. It is located on the heart of Chappell Hill. We have stayed here many times and this place always feels like home away from home. Cozy and peaceful. House is decorated so cute and VERY CLEAN! The host Mrs Susie is the sweetest and she always makes sure you are well taken care of.

Cozy Cottage

Great Stay in Chappell Hill

We stayed at Sunshine Cottage while attending a rehearsal dinner and wedding near Brenham. It was very close to Brenham and we were also able to see the shops and winery in Chappell Hill. The cottage was very comfortable and the snacks were a very nice touch. Thank you for a great stay!

This cottage was so great you almost don’t want people to know so you can reserve it frequently. The decorations were amazing, the amenities and accommodations exceeded the description. Best Spot in Brenham/Chappell Hill Area!

My wife and I had our “Babymoon” here and it was unbelievable to stay here. It was a quiet street and area in Chappell Hill which was great for us to visit, walk around and enjoy the restaurants and not far at all from Brenham. The host had everything we needed, was helpful with any questions while also being quick to respond. If you’re looking for a place to stay - especially in a smaller group like my wife and I - you need to book this place. Absolutely loved and hope to return here.

Absolutely love this sweet cottage! Everything we could need was there even a washer and dryer! The bed was super comfy and kitchen was fully stocked. The hostess was extremely accommodating and available if we needed anything. Will definitely return!

wonderful getaway

The cottage was wonderful and exactly what I hoped and needed! It is bright and cheerful, comfortable, and had all I needed and more. The front porch with rockers and the back porch with table and other seating are a nice way to spend some time outside but with the a/c just steps away! Location is great for Chappell Hill--just a short walk up the road to the shops and Bever's Cafe. I would very gladly come back!

Growing up a country girl in the blue grass of Kentucky makes Chappell Hill a natural fit for me. I've lived all over Texas most of my adult life, but now I am finally home.

Why they chose this property

My family farm has always stayed in my heart. I knew some day I could find a place that reminded me of home, and I did when I found our main house with this cottage. I loved the floors and the ship lap walls even though my husband could only see the work involved. Now he loves our little farmhouse and cottage. My dream is to share it with others.

What makes this property unique

Chappell Hill is the most quaint little town between Houston and Austin. In less than five minutes you can walk from the cottage to town.
