This quaint little apartment was immediately off Taksim Square which has the Furnicular tram to the waterfront and train to areas like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and TopKapi Palace. Additionally, Taksim is where you catch the postcard Trolley to the shops of Istiklal street. Down from our apartment are many beautiful markets and food shops more reasonably priced than those on or just off the square.The laundry is small but functional but air drying is your only option. The bed is a double which might be small for some. The heating and cooling worked very well with individual remotes for kitchen and bedroom.Our host Sahin was on top of everything and very responsive to questions and notices like when we lost water for a short period of time. He also fixed the large bathtub so we could share a warm bath after a cold rainy day in March here in Istanbul.The kitchen was outfitted with kettle and coffee machine, excellent frying pans and plates, glasses for tea and breakfast alike.Overall, a 5 ***** valuable location and price for the amenities and comfort this place provided.
