About this property

Book now for the Stone Lake Cranberry Festival October 2-3!

Our spacious home is an easy 2 1/2 hour drive from the Twin Cities. Providing all of the luxuries you expect and all of the lake charm you seek, it features an all-knotty-pine interior, a ground floor primary suite, a cook's kitchen, and a wood-burning fireplace in a Great Room that overlooks the beautiful Lac Courte Oreilles Gold Coast. Its four bedrooms + spacious loft all face the lake (a 5th bedroom with a bunkbed is accessed off of the primary bedroom), and the finished lower level will give the kids a place to hang out, watch TV and play pool. You can watch the sun rise over the lake in the morning and in the afternoon, watch the loons playing in the setting sun's rays as they dance off of the water.

A 2018 22-foot Bennington pontoon is available for rental to our guests.

This is a very pretty property, with expansive space for families inside. We took advantage of the kayaks, the gorgeous weather, and the very hospitable hosts. Everything you could need is here, would happily stay here again.

We had an amazing trip. The host was super responsive and helped make the stay even more enjoyable. The lake is amazing and the shallow sand bottom right off the dock was great for our little kids. We would love to book again.

Lefty’s is such a beautiful getaway spot on the lake! We loved the views, the big porch, the firepit, and areas for our group of 11 to spend time together. Misha was great with communication and helping us walk through the pontoon and lake logistics. We highly recommend adding the boat to your stay; the sandbar was perfect to anchor and spend hours in the sunshine and not even waist-deep water! We loved our stay. Thank you Misha & Elka!

Stunning house with exquisite attention to detail. The property was beautiful with many amenities. We rented the pontoon boat which worked out perfect for our family. We all had a great time and we will definitely miss waking up every day to those amazing lake views!! Host was exceptional and always quick to help/respond when we had questions :))

A spacious, well maintained, and clean cabin on a beautiful lake, made for a memorable family vacation for us. The cabin was well equipped with anything you might need during your stay. The host communicated extremely well with information about the property and its amenities. Responses to any questions were answered promptly. We had a wonderful family stay at Lefty's Lodge. We rented the boat and enjoyed some fishing and anchoring out at the sand bar when the weather cooperated. On rainy days, the younger cousins enjoyed the pool table and games downstairs, and we used the coffee table to make several large puzzles we brought from home. (There's also a big selection at the cabin too!) There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out both inside and outside. I loved drinking my morning coffee on the deck and watching the lake come to life. So peaceful. We all enjoyed swimming and floating down by the dock - the kids were grateful for the sandy bottom! There are a lot of steps to the water so be aware if you're traveling with anyone with limited mobility. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked, which made making dinner each night super easy. The communication in advance was top notch and Misha was very responsive both during our stay and after when we realized we left a few things at the property! Overall, we had a fantastic week with our extended family and would definitely book again!

Wonderful family getaway!

We come up to the area every year and have a group of 10-12 aged 6-70 and this has been our favorite cabin! The owners are fabulous to work with and have a great location on a wonderful lake. We already made reservations for next time!

Wonderful stay!

Fantastic stay

Lefty's Lodge was absolutely perfect for our stay while visiting the area for the 50th Birkie. The house is huge, but it's the kitchen and living room that were just what we needed. Hope to be back someday. Our thanks to Misha for her hospitality.

After 25 years of renting cabins on various lakes "up North," we fell in love with the Hayward area and decided it was time to own our own place on a beautiful lakeshore. We purchased this home for our family's use throughout the year, but want to share the joy of being at "the lake" with others, just as other cabin owners have done so with us.

Why they chose this property

We love Lac Courte Oreilles -- it is a clean lake, not too small, not too large. Our property is located on the western end of the lake, easy to get to, and it has an eastern exposure, which means you won't have the afternoon sun bearing down into your living room.

What makes this property unique

Our home has a big kitchen and a large counter space where kids and/or adults can sit and enjoy the lake view (and so can the cook!) through the two-story great room windows. Nothing obstructs the fabulous view, and we are perched just enough above the lake to give you a magnificent panorama. And with plenty of space both inside and out, you'll have privacy, even with lots of people in the house.

We've loved being Vrbo hosts since 2018.
