Beautiful cabin, the host was super nice! Having a boat to fish from is always a plus and they charged the battery for us. It was nice being right on the water, very peaceful and with an amazing view!

Perfect cozy cabin to just relax with my son. Fishing and relaxing was the agenda with a little music playing. Dylan was welcoming and helpful with fishing tips. Even changed out the battery on the boat so we had no issues fishing. If you want a quiet, simple and get away from it all kind of place, this is it!

Nice little cabin, great for fishing. Right on the lake. It is right next to the road though (the bathroom was right next to the road as well). Good hosts who even left a gift for my son. Thank you!

This was a pleasant surprise. Booked and asked the host if we could get there earlier and just hang out on the water while they cleaned the place. Host was so kind and gracious. We got there early and stayed most of the day. Adorable little gem. The water had seaweed and a little mucky near short but once you got past that it was GLORIOUS. The kayaks and peddle boat were fun too. Fully enjoyed ourselves. A great little hidden oasis. Not super populated so it was perfect. 10/10

The cabin was super clean, and coffee supplied for you when you got up to make, was a nice touch! The quietness and views of the sunsets were amazing. Boat and kayaks at your leisure. Fire pit by the water, was also un-expected. My only thought was an outdoor shower. The hose was available, but, even a cold shower would have been the topping to be refreshed after a warm hot day. Overall, a great peaceful and safe place to stay. I will be returning!

I absolutely loved my stay at Ruby Rustic Retreat. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, and beautiful scenery, this is a wonderful place to unplug and relax. The view was stunning, and the atmosphere was calm and restful the entire time. There is no running water, but I knew that going in and honestly didn’t mind at all. It actually felt like a really nice step up from SUV camping while still giving that rustic outdoor experience. For me, it was the perfect balance of comfort and simplicity. The retreat was clean, cozy, and exactly what I was hoping for. I would definitely stay again.

Very clean, cozy and peaceful. The host was very friendly and gave a very nice tour. The firewood provided was very thoughtful and unexpected but due to weather, we were not able to use it unfortunately.
Beautiful view and the Christmas lights were a nice touch on the balcony

A fun, if very rustic, couples retreat. This was an unusual property. The room was only 12'X12' with a couch/hide-a-bed, microwave, minifridge/freezer, water dispenser, and AC/heater unit. The A/C was a pleasant surprise. The sink did NOT work - it wasn't hooked up to water and the drain led to a bucket under the sink. Water was in the dispenser (hot and cold) and 2 sealed bottles of drinking water, plus. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, silverware, dishes, cooking oil, and basic spices. There was ice in the freezer. The "shower" outside was also not hooked up and the spigot was in a locked room so we couldn't operate it. We did spray off the pond water and do dishes with the hose. The "bathroom" was a port-a-potti that hadn't been cleaned in too long - very full. But it was well stocked with sanitizer, TP, and disinfectant spray. The kayaks, paddle boat, and rowboat did not disappoint. The dock was great, but it was only in about 3' of water so the diving board and water slide were not usable. In the basement, there were fishing poles and tackle. The lake is mucky for swimming but stocked with trout. The local ducks were friendly and entertaining. The sunsets were very pretty on the water. I wouldn't come here with kids or if you have a hard time navigating stairs or scrambles/gravely hillsides. Overall a unique and fun experience, if a little bit rough.

VERY enjoyable escape! Clean, quiet, comfortable, and right on the water, with a nice deck that's perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. The kayaks were very fun (stable and easy-to-use even if you're not a boater), and the lake itself is also user friendly. The host's description is accurate (and important so that you know what to expect): one room, no running water (but the hot/cold water dispenser works great), and the nearby porta-potty was just fine. Having internet access was greatly appreciated, and the host was excellent with communication. Thank you!

This was the perfect spot for us to have a moment of much needed peace. The teeny cabin was so thoughtfully stocked with just enough amenities to meet every one of our needs. We felt so relaxed and at home here. Sunrise and sunset had the most amazing skyline and the hosts were so accommodating and kind. This is our new favorite vacation destination!
