About this property

The Woodstock Retreatment

Step into a little time machine into 1968, in a vintage Airstream trailer nestled in the heart of Woodstock, NY half a mile from town.

The trailer sleeps 4, with 2 twin beds, and 1 small double bed (full size) that one can convert from the couch.

We have two harmless mini-Australian shepherds so it’s important that visitors be willing to meet them upon arrival (they hang out sometimes in large fenced in area across the way from the trailer, so familiarity helps).

There is a shower in the trailer, but the “WC” with toilet is just outside in the little green shed pictured; it has a state-of-the-art electric composting toilet. (The trailer has a little chamber pot set up for those who get up during the night and don’t want to venture out).

We also have a large swimming pool for warmer weather and a nearby outdoor shower. There is a nice vegetable and flower garden, which visitors are welcome to harvest from.

There is a backyard with a playground and trampoline as well, for people who have children. Small campfires are permitted, either in the area in front of the trailer or in the nearby garden area.

We are located a half a mile from town, and there is a nice walk to get there that is scenic and quiet.

Visitors are welcome to borrow our bikes – there is one adult size and three kid bikes in various sizes – as long as they are properly locked up with the locks provided. There is also an electric car charger available.

There is a ceramics studio on site that visitors are welcome to use, and a materials/firing fee would apply, and pieces can be mailed to the recipient once finished. We can work out the details of this separately.

Finally, happy to offer plenty of advice and tips about the high points of the area, whether it be hiking spots, swimming spots, restaurants, music venues, or anything else!

Had an amazing stay here after seeing a show at Levon Helm studios! The location was perfect (very close to main strip & concert venue). Great communication from the host! I will absolutely stay here again my next trip to Woodstock.

I had a very short stay, was just up for the night to see a concert, but everything was perfect and as described. The host was friendly, welcoming and gave me some great suggestions of things to do for my short visit. The check-in was simple and easy. I would stay again if I find myself back in the area.

We had such a wonderful stay in Katie’s beautifully remodeled vintage Airstream! It was a truly unique and memorable experience — the perfect blend of charm and comfort. The trailer was clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, including plenty of hot water and all the amenities you could ask for in a cozy getaway. We were especially impressed with the modern compost outhouse — spotless, heated, and even equipped with a sink. It made the off-grid feel surprisingly luxurious! And you really can’t beat the location, just minutes from downtown and very convenient. If you’re looking for something special and different in Woodstock, this is the perfect spot. We loved every minute and would absolutely stay again!

A native Manhattanite, I have lived in Woodstock for 13 years. I’m an artist, own a Tempeh business, and have done a lot of teaching, art and yoga with kids and adults. Social by nature, I love creating community and introducing people to the area. I rented another trailer years ago, but ended up selling it and got this one a couple of years after that.

Why they chose this property

This property is unique in that it is next to about 20 acres of forest that no one is on, yet it is half a mile from town. Woodstock is an incredible community with multiple music venues, great restaurants, many hiking trails abounding, an alternative movie theater, and plenty of places to shop.

What makes this property unique

I think the location of the property is special for the above reasons. I have put a lot of work into making the trailer feel cozy and aesthetically pleasing. I am a friendly host who is happy to help in anyway I can. The kitchen is well equipped.
