We loved the location of the property with a grocery store and park within walking distance. The home was exactly as advertised, very comfortable. Emily was very good about checking in with us throughout our stay and even gave us a list of potential activities to do in St Louis.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming house! Emily was a super responsive and helpful host before and also during our stay. We spent 12 days with 4 adults and two small children (13) at the house and it provided lots of space and everything we needed, from great beds and bedding, plenty of towels, a well equipped kitchen and everything for the kids (Pack 'n Play/high chair/potty/toys/security gates and more). The location couldn't be better, very quiet, right by Tower Grove Park (amazing farmers market on Saturdays!) with shops, cafes and restaurants around the corner. All amenities worked great, double washer/dryer, dishwasher, HVAC, hot water, fridge with ice maker etc.Easy access with number code locks and ample parking in front and back alley. We will definitely be back since this was the perfect spot for our family reunion. Thanks again, Emily!

Centrally located and well equipped for our group of five adults and two kids. Emily made herself available if we were to need her, but she had already given clear instructions and we were able to get into the house easily. She also had essentials for my one year old grandson that made it easier to pack lightly such as a high chair and pack and play. The house was neat and tidy. Would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed the house and the host, Emily, was easy to communicate with! We stayed there with 3 young kids and Emily provided us with 2 white noise makers to help them sleep (there was one already in the house but the plug was missing). We were able to walk to get coffee each morning, play with the kids in the backyard and have dinner using the picnic table in the community garden once. It was a memorable experience and we all had lots of fun! The only hitch was when the ice maker flooded over from the kitchen fridge. My husband was able to shut off the water to the fridge and we cleaned it all up. Also, my toddler marked on a set of sheets but Emily was very understanding and we were able to arrange payment for a new set easily. Otherwise, the house was full of charm and equipped with everything we could need. It's located just a few blocks away from Tower Park and close enough to everything we went to see while in St. Louis. We would definitely stay here again!

The host and property were both great. We really enjoyed this property for the nice local options for food, drinks, park activities plus convenient for all kinds of other destinations.
Need soup ladle in kitchen.. I cleaned the silverware drawers after I got there as there was a lot of crumbs in them. I also cleaned the windows looking out the kitchen as they were very dirty. Otherwise, all was very good. The host was great in responding to a faucet issue...got it fixed!

Thank you for your review and for taking the time to share your feedback. A soup ladle has been ordered and will be added to the kitchen, and we’ve scheduled deep cleans during our slower season to ensure every detail meets our standards. We’re also glad we were able to get the plumber out the same day to resolve the faucet issue. Thank you again for staying with us—we’re happy to hear you otherwise had a very good visit and hope to host you again in the future.
About the host
Hosted by Emily Leonard
We (Emily and Anthony) are transplants to the great city of St. Louis. Having arrived in 2016 to start Anthony's ophthalmology residency at WashU, we have hit the ground running. We enjoy adventuring in our city and beyond. We have four sweet young children, who keep us busy at home and on the go!
Why they chose this property
We bought The Urban Farmhouse because it was the perfect mix of location without having to sacrifice any amenities. There's plenty of space to stretch out yet you don't have to travel far to get anywhere. Proximity to the shops, bars, restaurants of Morganford and Tower Grove Park solidified our decision. There is also a charming little community garden next door - perfect for sipping coffee in the mornings overlooking the garden. We love the neighborhood so much that we only live 3 blocks away!
What makes this property unique
We were enamored by the open space floor plan, the high ceilings, renovated kitchen, and darling fenced backyard.. As most of our family lives far away and has always been so kind to host us, we were eager to provide space for others on their journeys to St. Louis. We gratefully extend this tradition of hosting friends and family to you who want to vacation together and in style just steps from your next adventure.
