Denali Fireside is a newer facility within walking distance of all of Talkeetna's fantastic attractions and amenities. The Brooks suite has one queen bed, a queen sofa bed, gas fireplace, satellite HD TV with DVD player, WIFI, dining area, bar sink, microwave, mini fridge, coffee brewer and full bathroom. The suite has vaulted ceilings, rustic log/frame construction featuring Alaskan décor and a private covered deck with log glider. We do not charge a cleaning fee or take a security deposit.

Wonderful time here!

This place was so quaint and adorable. The room was big, the beds were comfy, the space was quiet. Within walking distance of town, but also loved that it was on the outskirts. Don was so accommodating and friendly. He made sure that we were happy. I would definitely stay here again!

Don Devore was one of the original Alaska 59ers who traveled by motorized wagon train to Alaska in 1959 to homestead in the rugged wilderness, five miles north of Talkeetna. Homesteading was tough but rewarding. Don's family learned self-reliance, and survived on the barest of necessities. Families and friends grew close, helping each other in hard times and sharing what they had.
