Woodland View Backwoods Cabins at Susitna Lodge

Each of our newer Backwoods Cabins have a private full bathroom, dining area, living room and offers two private bedrooms.

The cabin kitchenettes have a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, electric skillet, hot plate, crock pot, coffee maker and electric tea kettle. They are also furnished with dishes and cutlery. Each cabin sitting and dining area offers plenty of room for you and your guests.

Our Backwoods Cabins can each accommodate 5 adults with one queen bed in each of the two bedrooms and sofa sleeper in the living room.

These Alaska Cabins also have picnic tables with outdoor grills if you want to cook up your catch of the day.

our family really loved the badminton court on the river. The view of the river in the cabins in the woods was really peaceful and quiet. The staff there is very friendly and helpful and it’s about a half mile from town.

This property was in a beautiful location right on the river. We were within a few minutes drive from resturants, shops, and nordic skiing in Talkeetna. We will be back.

Absolutely lovey and cozy stay!

My family and I were en route from Fairbanks to Anchorage for a hockey tournament over Thanksgiving weekend and decided to stay the night in Talkeetna to break the trip up. Couldn't ask for a better find than our cabin at Susitna River Lodge! Every aspect of the stay was wonderful, even our 15 year old son who is often times difficult to be pleased was impressed.We will be back!

Great Stay!

Our Backwoods Cabin was a great place to stay while visiting Talkeetna and hunting the Northern Lights in October! The cabin was cozy and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. It had a great front deck and plenty of room in the very clean cabin. They provided some nice essentials like coffee, tea, and paper plates if you didn't want to do dishes. The location of being close to the river and a wak to the town of Talkeetna was great. We will return!

Cozy cabin with lovely views

The Backwoods Cabin was a wonderful place to spend a few days. Electric fireplace created a cozy space to warm up after a day exploring. The river views from the covered porch were nice. Close to town, but quiet location. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Absolutely Perfect

10/10 will be booking here again with the family! Absolutely not their fault but VRBO had a glitch and wouldnt let me message the host to get the check in instructions. Luckily this is a small lodge area and I was able to call them directly and confirmed everything. VRBO support was next to worthless and never even called me back. I recommend reaching out directly for your booking which I will do next time as well.
