This beautiful 4 bedroom 4.5 bath home is situated on our family-owned WORKING 78-acre horse farm which specializes in trail rides. This is a working farm and you will see farm equipment both sitting around and in use. Please be careful and supervise your children. The farm's equipment are not toys.

You will love all of the room inside and outside. Visit our Petting zoo, book a horseback ride or pony rides for the younger kids, visit with Hank our Free Range Pig, or feed the chickens as the come by in the morning. Plenty of fish in the lake, bring your bait and tackle. Swimming and boating from the dock, beach or boats.

We are convenient to Indianapolis, Indianapolis International Airport, Childrens Musuem and other area attractions. Indianapolis is known for motor sports — Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Lucas Oil Raceway are easy to get to, yet far enough away to relax and enjoy yourself. You can also find out what is happening in our area during your stay by checking out the websites for Hendricks County Visitors Bureau or Visit Indy.

Although their are plenty of dining out options within 25 minutes of the home, the kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and utensils for you to use to make meals at home. There is a gas grille on our spacious, private back porch for the grill masters in your group to use.

Spend your day and evening sitting on our wrap-around porch watching our horses and goats at the Ranch, you'll probably see our free range chickens, ducks and pot belly pigs roaming around the property. Your evenings could be complete with a bon fire either by the house or by the lake.

Feel like fishing? Grab your pole and take a short walk to our 3-acre stocked lake for some bluegill, crappie or bass. This is a lake that you will share with guests from The Cabin at Natural Valley Ranch and our family. We currently have a canoe, and a paddle boat for your use at no extra charge. The home does not overlook our lake, but is on our property. Please be sure to check google maps if you are unsure of the walk. It is about 3 minutes and includes a small sand beach for swimming. Life jackets are not provided

Other options for fun while you are stay at The Cottage are playing basketball by the house or volleyball by the lake. Trail rides are what we specialize in so don't miss out on making more memories by riding one of our horses with a guide on our trails that meander through 50 acres of woods, fields and sometimes White Lick Creak. We offer 30 minute, 60 minute trail rides.

Having a family reunion or other event? Ask about renting our lake-side 'Outpost-Country Occasions' facility with more than 1,000 sq. ft. of meeting/event space with access for caterers should you so choose. There's even room for a tent.

Absolutely no Outside guests or events at the property without the permission of the owners. When you book we ask that you give us the number of guests staying with us. That number is what we allow. Unless we have discussed in advance we do not allow, parties with outside guests, weddings, birthday parties with outside guests, bbq or cookouts with outside guests. Thank you for your understanding.

We do have pets on the premises, cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, etc. All are friendly and none will be in the house.

Your stay includes the use of a two car garage with parking for another 10+ cars up to the largest vehicles, including a bus.

We are in Brownsburg about 12 miles west of Indianapolis. We have many dining and shopping options close by if you choose.

Quiet and convenient spot for our happenings in Brownsburg and Lizton for a long weekend with all of our closest friends! Although there were some issues with bugs and cleanliness of the property when we arrived, communication with the owner was quick and the problems were taken care of within the hour. The home shows some age, but great for hosting a large group!

Family Trip

Decided to find a location that would have lots of room for the kids to play. Plenty of room and parking. The petting zoo was also a hit with the kids. Close enough to activities, but not right in Indianapolis and in an nice area.

We had a fun time together as a family at this property. It was clean, comfortable and there was good communication with the owner . We enjoyed having access to the lake. Great memories were made here and our grandchildren liked the petting zoo too.

Peaceful Family Farmhouse

Great place for a family gathering. The outdoor patio and grill were perfect for large family meals. The kids loved seeing the animals and having room to run around. We will be back!

We reunited with 2 other families and our kids had a blast. Especially when they were able to see a pig in the front yard as well as the horses, rabbits, goats, and chickens. The house was well-furnished and conveniently close to Indianapolis! Wonderful retreat away from the bustle of the city!

Loved the farmhouse. Owners very quick to respond. Plenty of space for our family meet-up vacation. Love the location...country atmosphere with businesses within 5 miles if you need anything. Kids loved the animals and had fun with the paddle boat, canoe and boat. Kitchen is nice and plenty of eating space. House was conveniently laid out for our 4 families plus one.

Indy Family Vacation

Our trip to Brownsburg/Indy was amazing! The house was large enough to accommodate our whole family! The house was clean and had everything we needed! It was well stocked with kitchen items! The farm, trail ride, fishing at the pond, and huge yard to play was amazing and the owners were very polite and kind to us! The house is a short ways away from the amazing children’s museum, Indianapolis zoo, and lots of cooks parks and restaurants! We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend our stay here! Family Gathering

The Cottage is a nicely refurbished farm house. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable and there was plenty of space for the 6 adults and 4 grandchildren. The outdoors were great for the kids to play outside as weather permitted. They enjoyed a walk down to the see the animals and the basketball hoop. We traveled to the Indianapolis Zoo and the Children's Museum and both were about a half hours driving distance. Thanks Chuck and Marie for being very accomodating.

Family time & convenience

The house was beautiful (hard to imagine it not being someone's family home). Spacious for the kids to enjoy & the adults to spread out. Plenty of bathrooms, beds, tvs, etc. Little ones enjoyed the animals. Convenient to the venue (Ash & Oak) for a wedding. Owners were very accomodating to our schedule. Our only complaint was there were no sheets on master bed & we had to retrieve washclothes from dryer. We didn't bother owners about the sheets because it was late before we realized it & we made due with smaller size we found in a closet. We discovered the correct size still in washer on the day we left when starting the bedding we used. We also had to empty the dishwasher before loading with dishes we used. Just appeared someone started laundry & dishwasher but never returned to finish before we arrived. That could've been due to our schedule so still left 5 star rating.

Abundant Outdoor Space

The Cottage had plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our group of seven. Grandchildren and adults alike enjoyed the farm aspect of this property. We appreciated the TP, paper towels, fans in bedrooms, plenty of towels, and large refrigerator. The proximity to Brownsburg and the Indy area was ideal. I must also add that the weekend that we were there, we all felt that the house needed a deep-cleaning. I understand that the owners do some of this in the winter when they are not renting their place, but the guests at the end of the season should experience the same cleanliness as the guests at the beginning of the season.

Great country stay

The house was spacious and has a nice sized living room and kitchen. There was plenty of space outside to eat as well. The shared lake was really nice and the kids enjoyed jumping off the docks. The paddle boat and canoe were beat up and didn't work well. The worst part was the house by the lake had a pit bull which was not always tied up. It acted aggressive and growled at us. Luckily a teenage girl who was staying at the house tied it up. I was disappointed when we contacted Chuck about it, he did not help in any way. I think that if you have a

Perfection!

We primarily rented The Cottage for a family get-together because it was centrally located for our clan. It was perfect for the grandkids who were able to feed the goats, play in the leaves, and run around to their heart's delight. And it was ideal for the grown-ups who were able to watch the kids run around from the large wrap around porch. The kitchen was big - 4 adults were able to co-cook without stepping on one another - and accommodated 8 adults and 2 children quite comfortably. All of us watched TV together in the big living room. The bedrooms were lovely, we all slept well. While the Cottage is not handicap accessible, it was workable for me and my wheelchair. I was able to get out on the porch without too much difficulty. I could move independently in the kitchen/dining room and the living room. And with help from my kind family I navigated the steps and narrow doorways with ease. We are going to make going to The Cottage an annual event! Thank you!

We've stayed here twice now and have loved it both times! It's PERFECT for kids with the outdoor space, animals to pet, and horses to go see. We had 8 adults and 7 kids (aged 3 and under). The house is perfect size to fit our big group and allows space for us adults to have fun after the kids are down at night. Kitchen is spacious and works for all of us too. Amazing staff down at the barn helped us and allowed the kids to experience the horses. Highly recommend!

A great place to stay for large family gatherings. We rented the cottage for our niece’s wedding that was held on the large property. Kitchen is well stocked. The bathrooms could use a little TLC, but otherwise it is was lovely.
