Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park
This cross-country skiing park is just a five-minute drive from Canmore. Originally developed for the 1988 Olympics, it offers more than 44 miles of cross-country and biathlon trail systems. 2 mi.

Banff National Park
More than 2,500 square miles of mountains, glaciers, forests, valleys, meadows, rivers, and gorgeous Lake Louise make Canada's first national park one of the world's top destinations. Columbia Icefield
The Columbia Icefield, about 210 kilometers from Canmore along the scenic Icefields Parkway, is one of the largest blocks of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle. It rests on the boundary between Banff and Jasper National Parks, a 325-square-kilometer family of eight major glaciers, all visible from Icefields Parkway. 110 mi.
