About this property

Beachfront Family Friendly Condo In San Diego


A 2 bedroom, 2 bath family friendly beach retreat overlooking the Pacific Ocean in a secure condominium complex with a pool, jacuzzi, poolside barbecue area and underground parking. Located on a long stretch of relatively quiet Southern California beach. Surfing, beach volleyball, basketball courts, children's playground and bike riding paths all easily accessible. Several good restaurants, local shops and markets within easy walking distance. A full service spa in the Pier South hotel one block away. Bike to Coronado along the Silver Strand. A short drive to Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo, downtown San Diego, and the International US/Mexico border.

There is an internet enabled TV in the condo. Alternatively there are books and games. Please feel free to take a book home to finish as needed. Beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and assorted beach toys are available for use. A port-a-crib and high chair is available.

Imperial Beach Water Advisories

During 2023 water advisories resulting from overflow from the Tijuana River increased substantially. Historically this has been only an issue during winter storms. Significant Federal funding has been ear-marked to address the issue, so we can only hope both governments will proceed with some efficiency.

You can check the status of water advisories at the San Diego County Beach and Bay Water Quality Program site. The beach remains open to the public during water advisories.

Of note: This is not a commercial rental unit. This is my San Diego home. I enjoy hosting so that others can enjoy Imperial Beach. Please respect this space as you would your friend's home.

This place was great for a larger family, especially due to the price point. Awesome view of the beach/coast and a nice space to hang out inside. Sleeping was good and nice hot showers. The pool and hot tub was great for relaxing at the end of the day. The unit and overall complex is a bit dated but if you are looking for a place that's not too flashy, it is for you!

Nice family vacation.

We enjoyed our Monday through Friday stay in Imperial Beach. The beach access was great. The location to shops and restaurants is very convenient. We made the short drive to San Diego bay and Coronado multiple times. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

Perfect Beach Vacation

The condo was a perfect fit for our family spring break! We just stepped right onto the beach from the property! Having a secure parking garage and locked entrances to the property helped with feeling of safety in what is already a very nice neighborhood!

Very enjoyable and comfortable place. Furniture is comfortable, Wi-Fi is good, plenty of dishes, plates, etc., very user friendly. View is amazing from the condo, as soon as you walk in - you see the beach/ocean. Exterior windows are a bit tired due to the sea air. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

An Amazing Place!

We feel so lucky to find such an amazing and affordable place on the beach. The owner was outstanding. Housekeeper responded within minutes. Super easy check in and out. This unit is our personal property and not part of a rental business enterprise. We share our home because we enjoy making the Imperial Beach experience available to others.

Why they chose this property

Our family rented in Imperial Beach Club since the property was first built. It is where my now grown children have the best memories of their grandparents. My father's motto was 'invest in memories'. So I did.

What makes this property unique

Imperial Beach retains the feel of the San Diego my husband and I knew as children. Relaxed, fun, friendly. Once you arrive at the IB Club there is nothing more that you need and nothing more that needs to be done. Just open the windows and listen to the surf.
