About this property

Private cabin in wine country

Enjoy the entire grounds of a former vineyard walking distance from Scottsville and the James River. With 13 acres of paths and ponds to explore it's ideal for people who enjoy not seeing people. But the cabin is only 5 minutes to many vineyards (such as Blenheim Vineyard and Mt. Ida) for those people who do. 420 and pet friendly. Please only smoke outside :)

Our host, Sean was extremely accommodating and communication with him was effortless. The property is close to the small town of Scottsville and very easy to get around, and a variety of restaurants to choose from. Only a 25 minute drive to Charlottesville for more restaurants and shopping. Convenient to the Monticello Wine Trail with numerous wineries to choose from. Beautiful area to explore and take in the breathtaking views and wonder of the mountains.

We had a great stay at the cabin. The location was close to town with great restaurants, and close to Food Lion or Dollar General to grab staples. It was clean, welcoming, and quaint. FYI on driving directions - take High Meadows Lane, don't follow Google Maps up Hayman St or Baldwin Ave - they are not in good shape right now.

It was great to find such a cute, dog friendly place! The property was secluded but still close to the town and essentials. I really appreciated how much space there was on the property and how dog friendly it was. The cabin is very cute and cozy. The kitchen is pretty basic but we were still able to make a quick lunch and dinner just fine. The town is small but cute and has a very nice brewery and coffee shop! The host was super responsive and check in was a breeze. Check out was also super easy! If we are ever passing through the area again we would absolutely rebook!
