The place was very clean and nice. It was a great location and close to Charlottesville, VA. The Host was very flexible and friendly and easy to communicate with during the stay. It is a great place to stay.

Our stay was quick and easy, but it was a warm beautiful April night and I did not think to look for air-conditioning or fans in reviews. It did not have either so it was a warm night in the room.The bathrooms amenities were lovely, but there was no mirror on the wall for doing your hair and putting on makeup, but they did make available a small handheld mirror it was hard to get ready for an event. But everything else was lovely. The video of how to get in the property was helpful.

We do have central air conditioning with the thermostat at the entry to the bedroom. Although we are sorry you did not see it, we do wish you had sent us a message to ask for help.

If you’re looking for a quintessential Charlottesville stay, this is it. The proximity to downtown, the wineries, etc is great. Please be sure to read up on the history of the estate prior to fully appreciate it. Honestly we only took the path from entry to bedroom/bathroom and didn’t stray, The beds were very comfy. I think a bathroom or closet mirror would have been helpful. Maybe an iron or steamer. But I really loved the beautiful landscaping and historical details of the property. Top notch.
