About this property

The Stables In The Carriage House

Upon entering the stables you are immediately taken by the beauty of the space.Where once English quarter horses were housed you will find a luxurious one bedroom apartment complete with cooks kitchen, bedroom with queen size bed, a spacious living room with original plank floors and library gallery. The classic leather couch and furnishings add to the charm of the space.,there is an unbelievable dining room with the original massive work table beautifully re-purposed for fine dining. The old feed room is now a pristine white tiled bathroom with large stall shower and fine white towels. The equestrian theme is throughout.
The original wainscotted walls were patiently restored to their original rich brown color and the french doors and barn windows bring in natural light. The rooms are wonderfully lit for the evening also.
Built in 1931, the carriage house stables were part of a great English tudor estate. The main house on the property is a treasure. There were three owners since built, the previous one owning the property for more than forty years. As years passed, it fell into disrepair and was in a sad state when the current owners, angelo and tony came along. Now fully restored to it's former glory, some say even better than ever, you will find a serene private setting incomparable to anything in the surrounding area.
Take the time to relax on your stone patio furnished with lovely garden table and chairs and enjoy the gardens and view. Perhaps alfresco dining with a glass of wine.
A stay at the carriage house stables or the beautiful loft apartment above will be a truly memorable experience.

Angelo and Tony have been using vacation rental properties for their travels for years. Tired of sitting on a bed in a hotel room, they enjoy shopping for food and creating a feast with what the local markets have to offer.
They have stayed in each of their vacation rentals many times to be sure it all works flawlessly with no surprises. We take the time to see that our guests have a great experience staying here.

Why they chose this property

People born and raised in Kingston do not know this area exists. We are on the edge of town with views of horses in the field and the mountains in the distance. A rare and beautiful spot, most say the felt as though they were transported to another part of the world.

What makes this property unique

Peace and quiet but minutes away from restaurants, shops, the waterfront and all of what the Hudson valley has to offer.
