Bath, bunk-bed room, tub-shower room and half-bath on main level; 2nd level has 2 BR (each with full Bath) + sleeping loft; abundant windows - you feel outdoors, even when inside. Large screen porch; multiple decks from house to pier; large, private, shady lot in a great cove for swimming, waterskiing, boating, sailing, fishing. 4 Kayaks available for use; Abundant parking, handicap accessible. **5/26/26-Please be aware that the area is currently in a drought and lake levels are low. Please use caution boating, diving and kindly avoid excess water use. **

We had an amazing family vacation with plenty of space. We enjoyed time on the dock and taking the kayaks out around the cove. The view of the lake at sunrise and the kids catching bluegill from the dock were memories we won’t forget.

It was absolutely perfect! Loved being on the lake, the dock that my brother was able to drive his boat up to, and the sandy beach! And the dogs loved it too! The place was perfect, very clean, host was very responsive. It was even better than the photos. We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back!

I booked this for our youngest son’s wedding and couldn’t have been happier. Beautiful setting - we watched deer while eating breakfast. There were 4 bedrooms - each with their own bathroom which was perfect for my other sons and their wives. My sons loved the ability to fish in the downtime and it was large enough that we could enjoy eating and spending time together. We enjoyed our stay!

Why they chose this property

We bought the property in 1974, when we moved to Gastonia, and it has been our main source of recreation all these years. Our two daughters grew up with the place. As our family expanded, we found it expedient to do the major renovation and addition in 2004.
In 1987 we bought the Cozy Cottage (VRBO#484074) next door; it sleeps eight .

What makes this property unique

We enjoy the open spacious feeling, the nautical theme decor, the large screen porch, the shady decks, the private setting, and the surrounding woods and wildlife. The relatively smooth water of the cove renders it ideal for water sports and offers protection from the big waves of the main channel. Our lot with 156 frontage feet of shoreline is located in a nook that maintains our sand beach.
