The house was very dirty. The floors were not mopped before we came, sticky stuff and stains all over. The owners thankfully let me have access to the cleaning closet so I could clean the floors (we had a baby crawling around). The master bedroom sheets had dog hair all over them and all of the blankets were very stinky. I went to wash everything but there was no laundry detergent on site, then we realized the washer didn't even work once we got some detergent. There was an awful mildew/sewer smell in the master bathroom as well. Ine longer we stayed, the more grossea out l got! Also, be prepared for other renters to show up to rent out the garage. We missed this in the description on the property listing! The house needs a serious deep clean but it is in a great location with pretty views!SubmitWe also wanted to let you know that the best way

The whole place so dirty, air ducts where so bad we were sick being in the house.

I am not one to write bad reviews ever. And I’ve stayed in a ton of rental propertie. Never left a bad review. But this house was so dirty, a ton of dust on everything, not just a little a ton. The bathroom was dirty. There was what looked like vomit on a door. The fireplace wouldn’t work, our code in wouldn’t work, no snow shovel… it’s McCall in the winter! When I messaged the owner he responded he was out of town and then I never heard back.. sent 3 more messages and the left me on read so I know he saw them! The air ducts need cleaned so bad we were sick in the house like sneezing, stuffy, puffy itching eyes… and soon as we left the house for the day totally fine. Oh and the bed was horrible too. Not worth the price. Best Western down the road would have been nicer. These owners.. I know them and they make a fortune off these rentals they have. I will NEVER again stay in one they own or refer anyone to them.

Fantastic property. Couldn’t want for more. We had deer and foxes come right to the lower patio doors in the evenings. We are a family of 4 and it could sleep many more but we like to spread out on vacation for some peace after longs days on the slopes.

Terrible experience and a shady owner

Advertised as a 3 bed 2 1/2 bath. Septic pump was out and we had no power the first night. Called/texted owner no response. Next day he sent someone to fix it but we were informed it wouldn’t be fixed this weekend and we could not use one bathroom/shower. They also left septic lid and pipes open in the house which filled the two downstairs rooms with an awful smell. Owner asked that we not use that portion affected which we complied. He stated he would compensate us for all the trouble. The owners are now dodging us and not returning our calls. We stay in that neighborhood several times a year through other owners but these folks are crooks.

Very Disappointing

We were excited to stay in this home and spend a few days at the lake. Unfortunately we found that the home had not been taken care of and was not at all what we expected based on the pictures/listing. For example - the patio had a dirty outdoor table with no chairs (unless you count the one chair that was strewn in the woods near the house), many light bulbs throughout the house were out, sponge in the sink was disgusting, the towels were still damp and on and on. We reached out to the owner who initially responded to say they would address our concerns but have been unreachable since that last message. The listing is not at all accurate for this home and needs to be updated or taken down until the issues are addressed.

Dusty and Musty, no pride.

The home needs a deep cleaning, dust was evident everywhere. From a previous review, found it true that all towels and blankets smell musty. I also wouldn’t consider this kitchen fully stocked. It’s minimal and most dishes I needed still had food caked on. Neither fireplace worked and after reaching out to the host who said “they might need to send someone out” never had anyone come out. Our kids slept upstairs on the couch because it was colder downstairs than they preferred to sleep in. After using the bathtub, the jets didn’t want to turn off and went on every 15 minutes from 11pm until 5 am. I called and text both the host and emergency host’s number numerous times, from 2:53 am until 4:23 am and absolutely no response. Not even a courtesy call was made from the hosts in the morning to see if I figured it out. I was so tired from being up. The RZR’s we rented weren’t ready to go and weren’t filled with gas as other rental companies have. The home outside had garbage and beer cans scattered on the property. A note on the front door left by a neighbor upon our arrival was evident that they agree the property could be kept up better. The relaxing weekend I was hoping for consisted of cleaning and reaching out to the host too many times. I took pictures of all the issues as well. The home definitely has potential, great location with RZR’s available if needed. The owners or company need to take care of it better inside and out, including the needs of their renters. I was left feeling more disappointed than relaxed. Not the weekend I hoped for.

Towels are musty, bed sheets not cleaned and must be washed prior to use. Cleanliness was unsatisfactory. Had to take out the trash from the prior rental. Supplies stocked very low. Had to buy trash bags, TP, paper towels, cleaning supplies and even basic kitchen utensils. Pots are all scratched. No wine glasses, tiny coffee cups. Home is lovely and a great location but not worth the fees.

Great Location

Great place with lots of room! Kitchen had everything we needed. Kids loved the air hockey & other games downstairs. The location was close to everything & home backed to wooded area with walking trails that we really enjoyed. The house keeping could use some help with a few things but nothing to bad. The hottub ended up being kinda smelly & gross. Apparently the floating thing with the cleaning chemicals that is supposed to stay in the water was left out behind the tub, probably from the previous guest not knowing what it was or just being a jerk. Total bummer because we were really looking forward to it. If it had been in there I am sure the hottub would have been great. I reached out to the owner a couple times letting him know about stuff and asking questions & he was always quick to respond & very helpful & nice. We would definitely recommend & would stay there again.

McCall Birthday Get Together

Lovely spacious home! Fabulous, large, clean hot tub. Easy access. Comfy beds! Entertainment..3 TVs with subscriptions, internet, air hockey, foosball, chess, board games, snow shoes....fun! The entrance and some of the deck were covered in thick ice, so that was a bit treacherous. Just a little upkeep is needed in a few areas but this place was great. We'd definitely come again!!

Beautiful home.. love the location

We stayed in this cabin for a family reunion and it was absolutely perfect!! Plenty of space for everyone, wonderful amenities and a great fire pit out back. We loved the location and looking out into the trees as well as the quiet neighborhood. We would definitely return to this spot. The only frustration during this trip was that I never received instructions for checking in or out. I had to contact VRBO the night before our stay and to get the door code. I let the owner know that I never received instructions but never heard back regarding this matter. I only had the door code. I've stayed at many VRBOs so I did what we always do (strip beds, take out trash, clean up and start dishwasher/ washing machine). Wish this would have been communicated prior to our stay. I would still return to this beautiful home.

Unfortunate series of events made right!

When we went to stay here last year, unfortunately the previous occupant hadn’t followed the rules! The place had been smoked in, despite the no smoking rules!!! which really had an impact on our family members with asthma. There were a couple other maintenance issues the owner wasn’t quite aware of- but After multiple discussions with the owners of the cabin- he made it right. We found another cabin to stay in- and we received a refund. And I'm certain the issues were taken care of! The place really was beautiful! And hopefully we can try again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The owner was great about responding right away when we had questions. There was plenty of room for our two families that totaled 11 people. There was more than enough bedding for everyone, and we all slept comfortably. We played at the lake all week and felt that the house and location served our needs perfectly.

Spacious, clean house, beautiful location, near town and trails, wonderful owners

We had 6 adults and 4 kids stay for several days, plenty of room for everyone. Main floor has "Great Room" layout, large kitchen, dining room and family room all wide open to each other, as well as a good-sized deck. Downstairs has oversize rec room with a second kitchen, foosball table, and second TV watching area. House is in exceptional condition. Quiet street, short drive to restaurants, bike/hike trail right behind backyard. No complaints, we'd happily stay there again.
