I will first start by saying I tried cancelling this reservation within an hour of booking and was not helped by homeaway. However this property is beautiful so it wasn’t that big of a deal. My first regret of booking this property was when i realized a cash deposit had to be left instead of it being held on a credit card like most renters do. There were 5 of us staying at this property and we were all coming in from different states and leaving at different times so a cash deposit is an inconvenience for any group. Secondly the property is far away from most of the entertainment which resulted and higher taxi fees and transportation for excursions resulting in extra fees as well. Last but not least when we arrived to the villa we were greeted by a very rude and cold host. We take trips at least twice a year and have never met such a rude and cold host. Just nasty and for no reason. The villa however is beautiful. Lots of insects/bugs inside of the pool with no net to clean them out as well as inside of the villa, however I guess that’s to be expected for the area . Also those pretty cushions you see in the pictures on the outside furniture were all inside a closet and when asked about them we were told to put them out ourselves. Just an example as to how we were spoken to. I would NOT recommend this villa because of location and extreme rudeness of the host. There are some restaurants and stores within walking distance, you’re just far away from entertainment and great shopping etc.
