• This apartment is one half of a duplex home. There is another apartment on the other side of the home which is also a VRBO apartment.
• Renovated in the summer of 2017 (new bathroom, kitchen, paint throughout
• Bedroom 1 – king size bed, decorative fireplace, large armoire, luggage space, comfy rocking chair
• Bedroom 2 – New queen sized IKEA sofa bed, rocking chair, dresser, 32” Roku TV
• Bedroom 3 – Day bed with 2 twin mattresses, 32” Roku TV, great for the kiddos!
• Living Room – Large sectional sofa, coffee table, recliner, 55” Roku TV.
• Kitchen – fully stocked and stylish – modern yet retro includes refrigerator, gas range, microwave, toaster and most importantly coffee bar.
• Bathroom - Tiled throughout, including a glass sliding shower, towels, hair dryer, and shower caddy with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
• Laundry room – Shared with other apartment, 2 full size washer/dryers, detergent provided!
• Hostfully Digital Guide Book with all our personalized recommendations!

Guests have access to the entire apartment! Laundry room at back of the home is shared with other side of duplex's other VRBO listing. Make yourself at home!

Debbie and I live close by in Cooper-Young should you need us for anything via message or phone call. We love talking all things Memphis, but totally respect your privacy as well. You are welcome to self check in with our Igloo Home lock box.

Residential homes meet a mix of restaurants, theaters, shopping, and night life is how I would describe the Overton Square area. Typical midtown homes built around the 1920's surround Memphis's entertainment district including Playhouse on the Square, Hattiloo Theater, Circuit Playhouse, and Theater Works, not to mention a Malco Cinema (Studio on the Square) there is no shortage of fun to be had! In addition, Overton Square is bordered to the north by Overton Park, one of Memphis' true gems.

We are about a 10 minute ride to downtown. Typical fares for Uber or Lyft to downtown are about $10.

Perfect location

We have a dancer at Ballet Memphis and this location was outstanding. The home is very well appointed and comfortable. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Owner very responsive. Highly recommend.

Great location with character

We had a great time in Memphis. It was so great to be able to walk to dinner, shops, and coffee. We were never more than 15 minutes away from the places we were exploring. The house is older and we liked the Memphis decor. The host was responsive and gracious.

Very convenient location less than a block from Overton Square. The house from the street doesn't have the most amazing curb appeal, but I'd say the pictures are a good representation of the property. It was very clean. The house is old, so has all of the things that come with an old house - squeaky floors, doors that don't quite close, etc. But we really appreciated having the king room for my parents and the back twin for me. Two seating areas for us to watch football at night and have coffee in the morning. No problem sharing a bath. Would have been tight to park two cars in the driveway but possible. This VRBO was much better than the handful of others I've tried in Memphis!

Midtown Memphis Gem

Lovely place, in a wonderful neighborhood steps from everything you could need. Entertainment, restaurants, grocery, everything within a 10-minute walk. If you are visiting Memphis this is the place to stay!

Nice spot for a few days

This is an older home in a nice area. I had a little issue with the key box, but the host called me immediately and opened the key box remotely. Overton Square is walkable, so we were able to walk down the road for food and drinks.

Great Stay

This was the perfect location. Very clean and spacious. We were visiting from out of town for the holiday. I was able to cook a huge Thanksgiving dinner for my family at ease with practically everything that I needed. Great location and plenty of room for my Husband and I, our Sin and his family, my grandbabies 2 and 4.

Most responsive host ever in my experience of worldwide travel. Immediate & helpful replies to questions or concerns (which were few). Clean, quiet, comfortable home in a safe residential neighborhood within walking distance to cafes, bars, restaurants, & most importantly, the venue for the Indie Memphis Film Festival. Chris & Debbie provided every imaginable amenity - including GOOD coffee! Will definitely stay again if available next year for the Festival😊

Amazing experience for first time in Memphis

This VRBO was fantastic! The communication from Chris from the start was great and the house itself was perfect for our brief stay! It was so clean and had everything we needed! The decor and quality of everything in the house were superb. My daughter and I felt so safe and comfortable and able to relax. The neighborhood and area is really nice with great restaurants and shops so close at Overton Square. We absolutely loved this place and would recommend it to anyone! Hands down it’s one of the best VRBO’s we’ve stayed at!

Thoughtful and well-located

A lot of thought was put into the details here. Like most of Midtown Memphis, it is funky and idiosyncratic, but it was comfortable and spacious enough for three of us to have some space, plus it had everything we needed and hadn't even anticipated. It's literally a block to Overton Square, which makes entertainment and restaurants right outside your door, and a hop, skip and jump to all that Midtown has to offer. And if you don't want to drive or walk, there are bikes available to get around. With a student at Rhodes, we know we'll be back.

This property was exactly as advertised. Good sized primary bedroom and living room. Big television. Great location in terms of being close to attractions. About ten minutes to downtown and fifteen minutes to Graceland. Restaurants and fairly vibrant area within walking distance. We didn't do any cooking, but the kitchen looked well stocked. Driveway parking was very much appreciated. There were even two bikes for use with helmets! The only thing I might suggest if you stay here is to bring earplugs. The house fronts a somewhat busy street (which is pretty quiet at night but gets busy in the morning) and there are sporadicairplanes overhead at night.

Spring break in Memphis

We had a nice stay at Chris and Debbie's place. The location was ideal being walking distance to many attractions and food and the place was just as described. It was clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed. We would stay here again on a return visit and highly recommend!

Great Memphis charm

I was born & raised in Memphis but moved away a decade ago. So in planning my first visit back I wanted a place in the heart of things and knew right where to look, and I found this place within a mile of where I used to live. This place fit the bill perfectly. The hosts were very responsive and worked with me on several questions and it made my stay here exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend!

Daughter’s Birthday Trip

We came to Memphis for my daughter’s birthday. She wanted to see Graceland. I looked for a property with good reviews and in a good neighborhood. I found this property and decided to give it a try. This house was perfect for our stay. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts was because the house needs a little remodeling done due to some structural imperfections. I would recommend staying here and would stay here again if we ever go back to Memphis.
