Your perfect vacation starts here at this beautiful, family friendly home on Big Star Lake. Walk straight out the back door to enjoy endless water activities. This home is fully equipped with a nice paddleboat, 3 paddleboards, 6 kayaks, pool noodles, and a large aluminum floating raft for endless fun on the lake. Don't forget to bring your fishing poles for great fishing off the dock! Other outdoor amenities include a Gas grill and fire pit.

Feel like spending time indoors? This updated home features everything you need for some relaxing time with friends or family. The cozy living room is equipped with a fireplace, DVD player, VCR, and wireless internet. Kitchen is fully equipped with bar seating. Sleeping arrangements include one queen in the master bedroom and 9 twin beds throughout.

This home is located just 45 minutes from beautiful Lake Michigan and the Ludington S.S. Badger car ferry. Ludington is a great place to get out and enjoy some fine dining, breweries, and many other family friendly activities and events such as the movies, Sandcastles Children's Museum, and more!

NOTE: After labor day some of the water amenities will no longer be available such as the dock, boat lift, raft and paddleboat. The kayaks will still be available!

Great time for all

They did a wonderful job of making this a stress free vacation. Everything we needed with the exception of food. Wonderful location, breakfast on the deck was prefect Plenty of room for everybody, there was 8 of us. Easily room for 12. We have rented on Big Star Lake for over 30 years and this was clearly the best we have found. Everyone wants to go back next year.

Fun for All Ages

Our ladies-only family reunion was amazing! We enjoyed meals and games around the large dining table and on the deck area. We kayaked, swam, and sunbathed. And, we reminisced around the campfire during the evenings. We also shopped in Ludington and Manistee a few days. We were very pleased, and we hope to return next year.

Family vacation

We had a great time at Big Star Lake!! The property was wonderful! Clean and very spacious. We loved being able to use the kayaks and paddleboards. There was a nice beach area by the lake with super soft sand that my kids loved playing in. This property was really nice on a beautiful lake! Thanks for the fabulous family vacation.

Fun family lake vacation

We stay at a different lake house each year with our family of six, 2 adults and 4 kids ages 21, 19, 11, 9. It is important for adequate sleeping areas and room to move comfortably. The lake is the top priority. This home had room for everyone. Master on the main floor was great. The window ac units are a must for this home. It would be nice to have one on the main family room area as this gets warm. The deck off the kitchen worked well. It was pretty buggy at night which was a downer for us as we like to sit outside when the sun goes down. The lake and the beach were great. Sandy for the kids to play all day and shallow to the end of the dock. The no wake was great for kayaking and watching the sunset at night. Quiet after 7pm. Tons of water and sand toys for use. New sheets would be nice for the master bed and if the house has been closed up when you arrive it will need to be aired out or plugins would help. Overall, great week and would go back to big star lake again.

Family vacation

The property was beautiful, isolated enough but close to larger cities and all the west coast of Michigan has to offer. Big star lake was quite and peaceful we enjoyed many kayaking excursions. The property was suitable for my elderly father as the number of steps into the house was limited and the master on the main floor. There were more towels than we needed which was nice we also had access to a washer and dryer. The only issue we had was that there was no coffee maker (not a big problem). And the TV would only work for about 10 minutes and then shut off, having a 12 son with autism who is used to a schedule that includes some tv time, did make this a bit challenging. We did contact the management company about these issue and did not receive any feedback about the TV. Overall a very good week.
