My husband and I had a great stay at the Hoothaus. Great location with easy access to mountain biking and running trails. Close to the lake and to downtown Nevada City, yet still quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very communicative and helpful in suggesting local activities. Space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed! Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area.
Great condition. Could use better instructions operating the lighting, etc.

Hi, I am a pilot for Calfire and my Husband Orion owns a financial planning firm in town. We are also avid mountain bikers and kite surfers. Orion designed and built many of our local mountain bike trails including the Hoot Trail and the new Parliament Trail network. We welcomed our first daughter, Gunnison last November.
Why they chose this property

What makes this property unique
The Hoothaus is a very special spot with a modern earthen home design, nestled into the hillside and surrounded by landscaped berms. It has a very secluded feel, basically hidden from the road and surrounding houses. The pond and waterfall have Lilly pads, frogs and fish. It is like a secret oasis,
