Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry that the pillows and the center/side room temperatures were not as comfortable as you expected during your stay. We do keep extra pillows in the closet in case guests need them, and we’ll make sure this is communicated more clearly to future guests. Regarding the TVs, I checked and found that the batteries in two of the three remotes were dead, while the plug for the third TV was loose. These issues have now been fixed. For the center/side room, we previously had a floor unit that we removed for an unrelated reason. We’ll be adding it back. Thank you again for bringing these issues to our attention. Check-in and check-out times are also clearly outlined, and while early check-in can occasionally be arranged, it generally isn’t available at this property.– The driveway measures about 150 feet long and 38 feet wide, and sharing with the neighboring preschool hasn't presented any issues for guests in the past.Thanks for choosing to stay with us.

We shared your feedback with the owner and they'd like to clarify the following: -There are two central air conditioning units, one serving the front 40% of the house, and the second serving the back 60% of the house. The issue was with the front unit, the second central air conditioning unit, in the back was working throughout this period. Please keep in mind that this was the hottest summer on record for Austin. The outside high temperature during that weekend was 108°F. -We received a message regarding your concerns the morning after check-in, we responded within the hour and had a confirmed HVAC appointment within an hour and a half. -The technician informed us the front unit was frozen and that was likely the cause of the efficiency issue. He suggested keeping the air conditioning off for two hours and turning it back on. Once the unit was turned back on a few hours later, we noticed the temperature began to drop that evening. -As we recognized the inconvenience this caused, we promptly bought and brought two additional ready-to-use floor fans, even though we were about 45 minutes away from the house at that time. Our home does offer two ceiling fans in the front area of the house where the temperature was higher. -It is very unfortunate that these out-of-the-ordinary events occurred during your visit, and we hope you understand we tried to remedy any of the issues as promptly as possible. We take our guest experience seriously and strive to provide an enjoyable stay for each guest. As is evidenced by the many great reviews, these owners are accustomed to providing five-star experiences, and we look forward to this property hosting many happy travelers!

From the owner: “I’d like to offer some details regarding your comments. The house has 2 HVAC systems. The heating in the back area was working properly. I suspected that the heating in the front portion may not have been operating as efficiently as the back. I offered to have an HVAC technician come that same day; however, you preferred not to do so, which is completely understandable. After your departure, the technician inspected and found no issues. After your departure, I discovered that the dining-area window vent was broken and left open, which likely contributed to the area being cooler. For context, the back of the house was set to 72°F prior to your arrival and adjusted by you to the preferred temperature of 68°F. The front of the house was set to 66°F before you turned it off. Regarding broken items, I assisted you in locating the 2nd hair dryer in the house, which you confirmed was sufficient. Guests are asked to report issues and broken items so they can be addressed promptly. These issues have since been fixed. Thanks for your feedback.”

After reading your review, the homeowner would like to address the concerns you raised:- The corner closet door panel in the loft was off-track but scheduled to be fixed the morning of your arrival. Unfortunately, there was a last-minute change that delayed the repair. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused. The panel, however, was not a safety hazard, as it was kept inside the closet.- The door panels are intentionally without handles for safety reasons, to avoid children potentially injuring their fingers.- The loose bed headboard screw was not caught before your stay, but we tightened it immediately after it was reported.- The locked closet you mentioned is used to store excess supplies, etc.- The walk-in closet is intentionally set up to be used as a board game room, and we appreciate your feedback on this.- What you referred to as electrical cable (tucked under the counter) is a coaxial internet cable to connect the router.
