Being there for 3 weeks to help with our granddaughter, Winterfel became our home. Check-in and check-out were no problem. The kitchen facilities had everything we needed. The cleaning staff was very friendly and the hosts responded back when there was an issue. Also, when you stay at the Ore House Inn, one may feel like they are stepping back in time. Enjoy your time!
Nice room with lots of space. Good internet speed since I had to work from the hotel. The detached bathroom was quite large and private as well. Would come back.
Great comfortable stay! The New Castle / Glenwood area is full of activities and this was the perfect place to stay at to access it all. Some amazing restaurants you can easily walk to. Perfect weekend getaway.
Very cozy and niche experience with a Game of Thrones themed room. They definitely did some great work and the room is very clean and nice. The removed bathroom is not a hassle at all really and the communication from the host was excellent.
I had everything I needed and more! The space was charming and creatively decorated. You Game of Throne fans will be particularly pleased. Awesome location in the heart of old town New Castle. The bedding was luxurious and the robes were the icing on the cake! I would definitely stay here again!
The property was nice, a bit difficult to get into, but overall it was nice. It would be important to note that the bathroom is external to the room itself.
Hidden Gem! Will be back for business or pleasure!
This is a great little Inn in small town America. I stayed here for work but we not only enjoyed the accommodations, we loved New Castle! The only "heads up" I might offered is that this is an old building with some pretty steep stairs, so if you have problems carrying yourself or your stuff up the stairs, this might not be the best choice or just travel light! Full kitchen and fun themes in each room. I was delighted to find a VERY comfy bed and lovely inn keepers who were helpful and very communicative. I would give this more stars if possible!

The room was clean and comfy, the decor was great, and we had an amazing time.
We decided to take a quick trip and escape the stress of every day life. I had never been to a mineral spring so we decided to stay in New Castle. The location made access to Glenwood Springs easy but we were also able to enjoy the charms of a small and cute town. We were very pleased with the accommodations and even more impressed by the friendly nature and helpfulness of the owner! We really enjoyed walking downtown New Castle finding a great place to have dinner. Overall our trip was wonderful and we plan on returning in the near future to enjoy one if the larger rooms with the children. When we returned home we immediately shared this treasure with our friends and family.....

We are too old not to have a bath in room. Weird decor not for us. sorry
Overall a cute little spot. Fantastic pizza in the place across the street. Some info on Vrbo inaccurate (wifi password, restaurant below doesn't exist) but info posted in the room was helpful and up to date. Owner was great with communication! We loved that they allowed us to stay with 2 large dogs! Dog friendly spots are hard to come by. That said, when we first entered the room, we could smell some urine in the warm room from previous guests - very mild, but I did notice. Other than that very clean and comfortable.
Charming historic building in New Castle, CO. Close enough to drive to other locations such as Aspen, Grand Junction, Carbondale & Glenwood Springs. Lots to see & do in the area. Beautiful mountain views all around. The only downside is the frequency with which trains come through as early as 5-6 am.
We had an excellent stay in New Castle! Had some drinks at the bar downstairs. Went to the hot springs and the adventure park (thanks for the discount code). Went walking around town and it was a short distance to things we wanted to do. Thanks for allowing us and our cat Emma to stay in your lovely place! We hope to visit again. Would love to come stay when it is cooler outside!
This was a great little place. John was very responsive when we had questions and had the A/C started prior to our arrival. Check in was great and easy. We traveled to her vet reservoir only 15 minutes away and drove down to fish the frying pan two mornings as it was only about a 45 minute drive. Great game of thrones themed room we didn’t expect and we appreciate the little things.
We had such a great stay at the Ore House Inn. Right in the heart of Old Town. The room was GOT inspired and was fully stocked with everything we needed (for comfort and to make breakfast). The owner also owns the restaurant below which has a tasty menu and great staff (we ate dinner there a couple times during our stay - you get 10% off for staying at the Ore House). Super close to Glenwood. There’s an ice machine, Washer/Dryer available, extra towels for the hotsprings, cable TV. Would definitely look for availability at this property on my next visit to the area. Thanks for the hospitality!
I was looking for a place to stay so that I could visit Glenwood Springs, Aspen, and some state parks/national forests without too much hassle. I came by this place in New Castle and I’m glad I did!
It’s a private (themed) studio with everything you need from cooking equipment to a stocked bathroom. It’s essentially a fusion of an apartment rental and a hotel right on New Castle’s Main Street. The check in/out process was easy as well with very open and clear communication.
I would definitely stay here again!
This is an incredible place to stay and s great location. The restaurant and bar below is run by the hosts, John and Corey who were so kind. The food was great. John had great recommendations for things to do and see. I would give the stay a 10 or of 10!

Me, my wife and two son's Johnny and Treigh love all that Colorado has to offer! We like to snowmobile in the Winter and love driving our Jeep and Rzr in the High Country the rest of the year. We run the restaurant down below as a family business and have since 1999.

Our property has more continuous history than any other in New Castle. There have been Numerous businesses housed in our building over the last 130 years. Everything from gas stations, to general stores, numerous restaurants, bars and boarding houses; it has never not occupied a business and upstairs lodging of some type .
What makes this property unique
Right Downtown, within walking distance to numerous restaurants and bars.
