A perfect location, absolutely sensational views, and a beautiful home from which to enjoy it all. A hilltop retreat but accessible to Taos Plaza -the architecture and interior decor of this home are stunning-perfectly designed and equipped for entertaining and enjoyment. We had everything we needed for our 1 month stay in Taos.
Absolutely incredible property. This was perfectly sized for our party of 4 adults. The views are simply incredible - watching the sunrise and sunsets, rainfalls on the desert floor, and the local birds and wildlife was a real treat. House is a work of art in itself - well furnished, incredible kitchen, and detailed instructions for all management. Great communication, amazing home, and all exactly as described - easily one of our favorite vacations ever. Thank you for an amazing experience.
Breath taking views, amazing skies, and a hot tub!
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary here--we both loved the Taos House--a perfect 2 week getaway to celebrate life. We found the proximity to hiking trails, downtown, restaurants, farmers market, galleries, all big draws for us. The other key was the amazing deck that allowed us to relax with coffee each morning to plan our days. The hot tub was icing on the cake!
It was beautiful with great views and awesome outdoor wrap around porch.
House is very well decorated with tons of art work .
The kitchen has everything you need and more!
You won't get a better host on VRBO. This property is amazing. It is everything it claims to be. It has everything you would need for a very relaxing vacation. I am a home chef. This kitchen has everything needed to cook gourmet meals. If you forgot something. I guarantee you it is there. Don't hesitate to book this home.
This house is without equal, and Todd was a fantastic and responsive host. Views are unimaginable of the entirety of Taos, as the pictures show. The property is also remarkably accessible into town while still being completely private. We felt at home for our whole stay, and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen. To say we weren’t disappointed is an understatement. Thanks again Todd!
We loved our stay in this beautiful house in Taos. The house is well maintained, with amazing views and plenty of space for the whole family to stretch out. The kitchen is well stocked so we cooked some great family meals and the outdoor space was fantastic. We would love to come back someday.
Note: House does not have A/C so it was a little warm in the late afternoons in July but cooled down very quickly with the windows open as the sun started going down. The fans in the house provided by the owners helped for the couple of warm hours during the day.

Beautiful home, but needs some attention for guests
The home looks amazing on the listing and is priced accordingly. I expected a 5 star experience. I've been going to Taos for over 20 years and I've stayed at many differnt homes. We have rebooked some for 5+I years in a row until they were either sold or taken off the airbnd market. This home, while beautiful, has some issues that made our stay less than stellar. When we arrived, the home was SO UNBEARABLY HOT! The front bedroom has no window coverings and the sun beams in starting at 5:30am and with the heat of this summer, the room heats up quickly by the early afternoon. After alerting the owner about the issue with the heat, he said there were some fans. There were a couple of fans, and after a few days of getting the night air in and covering up the windows with some dark blankets we found, it was much better...still, for the amount of money we paid, it would have been nice to have had someone cool off the home before we arrived. The lighting is also an issue. The lighting in the home is very dim except in the kitchen. The communication with the owner was not great. He responded to texts a full day or more after I sent them. My feeling is that the owners need to get a property manager that can more promptly attend to the guests needs and even anticipate them to make sure they are comfortable. Small things like making sure the hummingbird feeders are filled (we went out and bought food and filled them) would go along way to making us want to rebook next summer.

Sorry your stay was less than perfect.
Unfortunately we had an unprecedented heat wave. We do state that there is no air-conditioning which has yet to be a problem till this summer. There are window coverings on the West and East sides of the house, The bedroom does not, but faces North, and there are no windows on the South. I did check the weather and every night was in the low 60's. We are planning AC for next Summer, as we expect heat waves to be more frequent due to global warming.
From a communication standpoint, I was texted twice. Once about the fans, which was in the late evening, and responded first thing in the morning 10 hours later. The second was for a request to lengthen the stay, which I responded immediately that we needed to check with cleaning. It did take over a day to arrange the late stay. We actually moved our cleaner to come a day later to accommodate. Not once did we receive a phone call, which the house book clearly stats to text for casual questions, but to call for anything needing immediate attention.
Apologies to the hummingbirds. Not sure if they drained the feeders between the previous cleaning or were not filled. They do tend to run through a full feeder in one to two days. They are pretty spectacular to watch, when there are 30+ hummers swarming around the feeder. We'll add info about filling feeders to the house book as they don't require fancy hummingbird food from the store. The Smithsonian Zoo, states one part refined sugar to 4 parts of water. Sugar is in the pantry.
Pictures don't do it justice! Beautiful property! If you get a chance rent this home
Everything about this home is amazing the home itself is unbelievable,.... the view, the kitchen a gourmet's dream, the artwork it will take a week to appreciate each piece , the hot tub, comfortable beds, fireplace, privacy. Everything you could possibly want in a vacation home.
I know there are many fine restaurants to choose from in Taos, but with gorgeous views from every dining area (plus the hot tub) and with such a well-appointed kitchen, staying in was hard to beat!
This place was amazing, unreal views, awesome layout with everything you need. Fully stocked kitchen, super clean everywhere, and plenty of room for our family of 4. Todd was the perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed...will definitely stay here again!
We stayed for a week in March for our first visit to Taos. Upon arrival the property and house exceeded our expectations. The location is just minutes from town, yet private, secluded, and offers amazing views. We loved the heated floors, well-equipped kitchen, grill, outdoor areas, hot tub, and the eclectic collection of artwork. We enjoyed a hike right from the house, trip to the Rio Grande Gorge, Taos, trip to Santa Fe, and so many other attractions easily accessible from the property. Todd and Denise were great hosts and kept in touch throughout the stay. If we ever return to the area, we are definitely staying here again.
We visited Taos for a 60th birthday family celebration w 3 of us and we were so incredibly happy we found this place. The home is impeccably clean and had tasteful, artistic decor w lovely southwestern charm. Beautiful views from wrap around porch and great hot tub! Amazing kitchen and indoor/outdoor fireplaces/kivas that all created a homey warm atmosphere. Todd and Denise were great hosts, very communicative and available to answer all of our questions. One of the best home rentals we’ve ever stayed in and will definitely come back.
This is a beautiful and unique property overlooking Taos. We loved the privacy, the views of Taos and the mountains and the accessibility to Taos’ restaurants, galleries and shops. The house had everything we needed and much more! The owner was attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
This is an amazing place to stay. The home was immaculate and provided us with all our needs. The owners were always very quick to respond if we had a question and even checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Made lots of great memories and will definitely be booking this house again! Thank you Todd and Denise for sharing your beautiful home with us!
The four of us stayed for a week beginning December 27th 2021. The house was Pueblo style, very southwestern, with large beams, a wood burning fireplace and was decorated beautifully. The house was in the Foothills above Taos New Mexico The view was spectacular from a surround porch. Overall the house and it's amenities exceeded our expectations. The owners were very responsive, and the instructions for all the TVs and appliances were very clear. It snowed multiple times during our stay, on the Friday of our stay, a snowstorm dumped over 8 in of snow. The owner had a snow plow come up and clear the driveway road in the morning. Overall our experience was great, we would definitely recommend this place to our family and friends.
The house had amazing views and super clean. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. Can't wait to make this an annual trip for us.
A great place to stay and enjoy Taos! The house is close to town but feels remote and very private. The views of the valley are wonderful!

When we travel we are ideally are looking for guests to stay and love our home. We have had people stay months at a time and continue to host repeat visitors. Taos is a prime location to put down roots and explore the many wonders we have here- but then return to our Oasis. We have been told that we have one of the most beautiful homes and locations in Taos.
Why they chose this property
The house sits in a private neighborhood on a hillside and overlooks the town of Taos. All homes are on 2 acres and are individual designer homes. We all have unobstructed views. Fishing - World class fly fishing, with several shops with guide service in town. . Skiing and Boarding - Taos Ski Valley is 20 miles away offering world class skiing at a great value. Ranked in the top 20 . Galleries and Museums - A wide variety of galleries and artisans in town. The Taos Center for the Arts (TCA) has live performances, simulcasts, movies and art showings. . Live Music - Check for music 7 days a week. . Restaurants - A variety to suit all tastes and budget- we can point out some favorites. . Breweries - We boast 3 local breweries and all are very different. What makes this property unique
We have filled our home with local and international original artwork. Our home is comfortable and unpretentious. The views are outstanding. The hot tub is secluded and private. Hummingbirds and other wildlife are quite entertaining. You will be close to everything but away from it all.
