Wonderful beach home that easily accommodates our family.

We have visited this spacious and relaxing home each summer as our grandchildren have grown. It's location away from heavy tourist activity is a significant positive creating a leisurely and relaxed vacation experience. The easy access direct to the beach and setting on the screen porch listening to the surf are wonderful features.

This is a really nice hou...

This is a really nice house with great beach access. Our group included 6 adults (1 disabled) and 4 kids, and this place worked for EVERYBODY - easy to get around in, lots of gathering space, plenty of privacy, and a super kitchen with everything we could have possibly needed. The owners were really attentive and easy to deal with. One of our best vacations ever!

Amazing Beach Vacation Home

Our family had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful home! The home is very spacious and equipped with every thing you need. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the quite evenings on the screened in porch. Jim and Angela provided us with lots of information on things to do and places to eat during our visit to Alligator Point. It was amazing how they checked in to make sure everything was in order for our stay. We will definitely consider a trip back Seaside Retreat!

This is the most fabulous...

This is the most fabulous beach home anyone could be invited to visit. The wood floors are lovely and the openess adds the beach flavor. Tastefully decorated. The porch off the two master suites is a great place to have morning coffee as well as the screened porch. Just a great time had by all

Love this home!

We have been going to Alligator Point since our children were small. This is by far our favorite house! Such a beautiful home it truly lacks for nothing. Our family has grown with the addition of son in laws and grandchildren and this house is perfect for everyone. The beach is just outside your door and if it should rain, the home is so spacious and well appointed, you really won't mind staying inside either!

Growing family

We have been going to Alligator Point for family vacations since our children were small. Our family has now grown to include grandchildren, so we required a larger home this summer. I can't say enough about this beautiful beach home! It was spacious, well appointed and so comfortable for every family member. I can't think of one thing that could have made this house any better. The entire family loved our stay here. We cannot wait to go back again!

Get away from it all!

This is a wonderful house for a family vacation! I just completed my third vacation at Alligator Point and my second time staying at Seaside Retreat. The house easily accommodates my kids and grandkids and offers all the amenities of home. I like that with this home, we are steps away from the ocean. But aside from the fabulous home, the best part is the unspoiled beach, dazzling ocean and numerous "old-school" activities like walking the beach, picking up shells, photographing the amazing sunsets and actually talking to the family!! I highly recommend this home and look forward to our next trip to Alligator Point.

Amazing house on beautiful beaches!

We were completly WOWed by this lovely house. The photos do not even do it justice! Tons of open air space on the main level was perfect for the beachy atmosphere. It is on a great spot on the beach, fairly secluded and lovely neighbors. We had an issue with one of our kids breaking a tabletop candleholder. Angela, the owner, was very easy to deal with and we received our deposit back minus a reasonable breakage fee. We really appreciated that. We would love to stay again!

Our Home Away from Home

We just happened on this house 3 years ago and what a find! It has ample space for our entire extended family. The kitchen and dining area are spacious and two sofas always provide plenty of room for seating. The two master bedrooms are tremendous so there is no squabble about who's getting the best bedroom. The house is so sound proof that even our very small children can sleep peacefully. Can't say enough about the owners. They are accommodating and make you feel like you are so special to them just wanting to rent their beautiful home. We will continue to come to our favorite location for our summers to come.

This was our 8th year goi...

This was our 8th year going to Alligator Point for vacation and we have stayed in many of the houses available. This house was the best one we have stayed in by far. We had 6 adults and 6 young adults and this house was so spacious and accommodated everyone's needs and wants. The interior was comfortable and inviting, we felt right at home. The view from the house to the beach was stunning. The fishing was also really good as we caught lots of Spanish Mackerel and Spotted Sea Trout for a wonderful fish fry our last night there. But the highlight of the trip was when we caught a 15lb 32 inch Red fish. We definitely want to come back to Seaside Retreat for our future visits and highly recommend this house to anyone looking to visit this piece of paradise.

This house is magnificent...

This house is magnificent. We had a large group attend including nine adults and five children; this place has more than enough room. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and the great room is much larger than the pictures lead you to believe. The hardwood floors, the massive kitchen with granite countertops and the large dining area were all add bonuses in this brilliant home. My family and I were looking for a place to get away to, a place where we could unwind from our busy lives, where there are no large resorts, no busy streets, no wild college students, and a place where our children could play and be safe. The Seaside Retreat exceeded all of our expectations. This place is a true beach oasis with all the comforts of home. In addition to the location and the wonderful accommodations, the beach was perfect. The owners have gone and continue to go the extra mile to make sure that your vacation is perfect.

This house is awesome!! ...

This house is awesome!! Very clean, neat, comfortable, and inviting. Beach access is great and very simple. The beach is quiet with very few people. If you are looking to avoid the beach crowds and not have to 'mark your territory' at 6:00a.m., then this is the place. The owners are very responsive and seem genuinely concerned that renters are comfortable. The water is not like PCB but the sand is great and the house and lack of crowds outweighs the water color. NO JELLYFISH!! We will definately consider this as one of our future beach destinations. The house can comfortably accomodate two mid size families. We had a total of 12 with four adults and 8 kids. Plenty of room for group time and alone time.

Just what we needed!

Every year our entire family (with grandkids) take a beach vacation together. This was our first time to visit Alligator Point and we were not disappointed. The area was nice and quiet, the beach was clean, and the house was just what we needed. You can't beat walking down the stairs and being on the beach! The living area is very open which makes it great for large groups. Proximity to the beach was also convenient for little ones to take mid-day naps. Jim went out of his way to help me out the night before we were scheduled to depart. I experienced car trouble and needed it to be towed and repaired. He made calls and recommendations that really helped us out greatly. Overall a great vacation spot that I would highly recommend. We are already talking about next year at Alligator Point!

Wonderful Vacation Home

We fully enjoyed our week in your home at Alligator Point. It is a perfect beach vacation destination for our family. No high rises, no traffic, no loud music, no stress - just beautiful Florida beach and an awesome home to enjoy and relax. Our week was special because it was our 30th wedding anniversary - Angela took care of all the details and made sure that there were several surprises awaiting my wife when we arrived - Thank you Angela!!! We enjoyed several wonderful sunsets from the top deck and the water and weather were both beautiful. Angela steered us to an outfitter in Crawfordsville that allowed us to rent an ocean kayak for the week - so my 16 year old son had an awesome time on the Kayak - we both saw dolphins, and curious big sea turtles coming by to check us out - that was phenominal. We boiled fresh shrimp and ate wonderful smoked fish from one of the local suppliers. - Thank you Angela and Jim for sharing your beautiful home and making sure that we enjoyed our week at Alligator Point!! We can't wait to come back.

A great place to relax

We were a family group of three adult couples. The house was more than adequate with the primary feature being the open plan kitchen/living area. This allowed everyone to spread out and do their own thing while all being together. Of course when the weather was cool enough, time was spent on the porch overlooking the beach or on the beach itself, which is one of the better ones. The loquation of the property was ideal allowing long beach walks in both directions. The condition of the house was very good and everything worked. The owners have been very easy to communicate with, answering all questions we had. A few comments: There are many crabs, especially at night and a lot of grass-like seaweed at certain times. These may be seasonal. For those that like a sunrise/sunset over the water - you will not see these from the property or beach. We highly recommend this vacation rental and consider it to be good value.

Fabulous beach house experience!

There are not enough positive things I can say about out recent stay! The house was spacious and could have easily accommodated more people without feeling crowded. The kitchen layout was convenient and well stocked. The bedrooms provided everyone a relaxing space for when you wanted to recharge. The best features of the house were the screened in porch and direct access to the beach. The large, spacious porch provided room for everyone in our group to spend many hours together. It was rare to not find someone enjoying the porch at all times of the day! The beach was easily accessible and the amount and variety of beach equipment that came with the house was impressive. The beach, while it did have a lot of sea grass on it, was clean and white. The water was at times super clear and cloudy at other times. There were no crowds on the beach and it at times felt like you had almost the entire beach to yourself. The amount of wildlife on the beach was fantastic (Dolphins, crabs, hermit crabs, horseshoe crabs, turtles, fish). While you are far away from the common tourist attractions, we found plenty to do. The nearby aquarium was a wonderful place to visit as was our kayaking adventure with manatees in the nearby Wakulla River. We have already begun talking about coming back again and this house will be our first choice. The owners were helpful and responsive. We can't wait to return again!
