Watkins Glen 3-Bedroom Suites Unit 1

Summary:

3-Bedroom 3-Bath Townhouse Unit 1. Constructed in August of 2016, these townhouse style 3-bedroom, 3-bath units are tucked up against Watkins Glen State Park. Unit 1 sleeps 10 guests in queen beds made up with fresh linens for your arrival.  The three full bathrooms, one on the first floor and two on the second, are stocked with clean towels and washcloths.





The living/dining area has comfortable seating, a flatscreen TV with a large cable channel selection and a dining table with seating for 6.  The full kitchen has basic cookware, dishes, glasses and flatware.  



Located in a quiet, wooded area, Watkins Glen State Park is literally our back yard. It is a short walk to the main park entrance and the downtown area and less than a mile to Seneca Lake. Easy check in with code for entry provided prior to your arrival. Each suite is allowed to park 2 cars on the property, please plan ahead as any additional cars will need to utilize street parking downtown.

Watkins Glen has a little bit of everything: A beautiful state park, scenic lakes, wineries, a lovely downtown for shopping and dining, parks with playgrounds and swimming.

Great location and very clean

The property is well maintained, very clean and spacious. Within walking distance to watkins flenn state park and restaurants. Less than 5 minute drive to main avenue and shops. The photos do not show how spacious this place really is. Extremely clean and i would recommend and stay here again

Great location! Walking distance to downtown Watkins Glen and an even shorter walk to the Gorge trails. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Well stocked kitchen. Definitely a do-over!

Perfect location

Can’t pick a better location than this house. You are so close to Watkins Glen Park you can walk to it! Loved being central to town for dining and wineries. The house was perfect for couples. It was spacious and kitchen was stocked well. Only complaint would be no spatulas. Hard to flip eggs 😖 We would come back again and happily rebook.

Kitchen had pretty much everything needed - ours didnt have a sheet pan and the strainer wss very small. The 3 large bedrooms with bathroom wer great however there were no dressers to put things away. We had to live out of the suitcases. Our AC units were broken so there were window ACs which due to the window, bugs were able to get in. Although it looked clean, the floors in the kitchen and bathroom were not scubbed clean and there were stains on the rugs. There were also spider webs between bed frame and beds.

Not what we expected

We enjoyed the town and surroundings, especially the hike through Watkins Glen, but not so much the accommodations. The main floor was cement and the rooms smelled musty. The mattresses and linens looked like they came from a cheap hotel. We left a day early because it was raining and we couldn't stand being cooped up in a dark, musty apt all day.

Nice place for a good price

We definitely enjoyed our stay here. It is centrally located to everything. A short drive to lots of vineyards, a short walk to hike the gorge or walk the Main strip. It was nice having a large living room/dining room. We shopped for the 3 days and cooked all our meals there for the 6 of us. Saved money and enjoyed a great bonding experience.

Overall our stay was good. Location and cleanliness was great. The size fit our needs. One thing that could have been better was the stocking of kitchen cooking supplies. The kitchen was in need of spatulas and cooking utensils, larger bowls (think popcorn or large salads), measuring cups and spoons. We made due with what was there but it could have been better.

Walking Distance to Lake, Town & State Park and Home Base for Seneca Wine Trail

The three bedrooms and three bathrooms are perfect for couples. The location is within walking distance to the lake, town, and state park but still feels secluded. The kitchen and outdoor bbq grill were great for preparing meals at the property. Property is at the southern end of the Seneca Wine Trail for all your winery needs. Overall, this townhouse is a great property for your stay in Watkins Glen.

Went with two other couples to do a wine/beer trail. This was perfect with 3 bd/3baths. No waiting to use the bathroom! It was clean. The beds were comfortable, though I'd bring my own pillow if we use this same place again. The shower curtain had some mold spots on it, so I was a little put off by that, but not enough to put our stay down a star. It was easy to get to, and if the weather had been better, would have been nice to walk downtown to eat. We definitely recommend here, well worth the bang for your buck.

We were disappointed

When we go to VRBO we are looking for a higher quality rental. This was a let down. No washer and dryer, not enough towels and no way to wash what you have. No bathroom soaps provide, no trash bags, cheap toilet paper. It's these little thing that make you feel comfortable. The towel rack had fallen off the wall when we arrived. The hill to get on the property is extremely steep. And the parking situation is very limited once you get up the hill. *Note to the manager Semi-Gloss paint on walls, Glossy paint on doors and trim. The doors are always going to be dirty if they are painted with flat paint. Aside from the hill and parking, many of these problems could be overcome. Hopefully the management improves. I'm giving this 2 stars because the location is great and the property has potential.

We had 3 couples stay. It was nice that each couple got their own bathroom along with the bedroom. The owners are very attentive when we needed more towels or had trouble working the heat. Quiet location, we were the only unit rented so we had no trouble with parking. Easy ride to downtown and the wineries.
