The morning of guest arrival, easy to follow driving directions, parking spot assignment, door code, and other precise check in details will be provided.

We’re here if you need us—and invisible if you don’t. Our small team works hard behind the scenes to keep the property safe, clean, and beautiful. You may see us (or our sweet maintenance guy) around from time to time, especially during checkouts, yard work, or if a guest requests assistance. We also live on-site part-time in a private area and commute weekly to Oregon. Your privacy is always respected.

Human neighbors are friendly, but enjoy the privacy that country life ensures. The numerous animal neighbors are furry, or feathered, and some are approachable; but most are pretty shy. (domestic rabbits, barn cats, deer, frogs, birds, raccoon, bobcats, quail, squirrels, skunks, etc...)

Add-On Amenities & The Camper’s Closet:
Looking to level up your stay? We’ve got a few optional add-ons available to make your retreat experience even better!
✨ The Camper’s Closet is our cozy little on-site camp store—fully self-serve and available 24/7 through a QR code on the Closet door or via our weblink. You’ll find essentials and fun extras like:
S’mores kits 🍫
Fire starter kits 🔥
Trader Joe’s snacks 🥪
Grocery or flower delivery services 💐
…and more!
🧺 Laundry Room Access ($10 Add-On): Want to use our onsite laundry facilities during your stay? You can reserve it for 6 hours of exclusive use through the Camper’s Closet as well.
🧖‍♀️ Barrel Sauna ($20 Add-On): Whether you`re chasing post-hike relaxation or just a cozy moment of zen, this warm little haven is now available to book for private 2 hour sessions.
💡 How it works: These optional add-on services (or any other store purchases) require a separate purchase. You`ll receive more detailed information before your arrival. Once you place your order, you’ll get an email with instructions for pickup or reservation and your door code.
Just a heads-up: Airbnb`s new fee transparency policy means we’re including these add-on details here to keep things crystal clear. Specifically, the washer, dryer, and sauna are listed as available amenities for this listing but they are not included in your nightly rate.

There is no cell service in our canyon but enabling wifi-calling on your phone will provide a equivalent signal via our recently upgraded routers and service.

3rd Party Booking Policy:
My Tiny Creekside Retreat is a great option for crews, professionals traveling for work, and is a way safer, more secure, and affordable option than local hotels.
Hosting guests, however, who have not made the reservation itself carries additional risk and hosting challenges. As such, in our desire to support our local employers we have recently developed and released this 3rd Party Booking Policy.
If you are booking on behalf of someone else, please review and accept this policy by replying specifically with the phrase “Responsible Guests Welcome”:
1) Booking must be confirmed at least 2 hours in advance of arrival.
2) Payment of an additional $150 refundable cleaning deposit via an Airbnb resolution center request will be required prior to arrival.
3) A contact name and verifiable cell phone # must be provided for at least 1 of the guests who are staying. Contact will be made with them prior to their arrival to verify their ID and ensure they are aware of the expectations during their stay.
Thank you for the opportunity to support the hard-working traveling professionals that help our cities and towns grow and thrive.

Cedar Loo Toilet Details:
We want you to love your stay, and that means making sure you’re comfortable with our eco-friendly, flushless Cedar Loo style toilet. It’s simple to use and saves thousands of gallons of water each year. But let’s be real—if you’re expecting a traditional flush toilet, this might not be the right rental for you.

How it works? Sit, do your business, toss in a handful of cedar chips, and close the lid. Once a day (or as needed), simply lift out the bag, tie it shut, and place it in the designated outdoor bin. A fresh bag will be ready to go—no extra setup needed!

If the idea of this type toilet makes you uneasy, we totally understand! We’d rather you book a place that meets your expectations than be surprised upon arrival. As an alternative, please do inquire about the availability of our other accommodations onsite that do have flushing toilets.

Pet and Animal Policy:
Recently we have updated this listing and no longer allow pets in this accommodation. If you would like to bring yours, please inquire about our many other accommodations on site which do allow animals.
In the best interest of transparency, our pet policy is only noted here so all guests on site understand the expectations of visiting animals and their owners; including service animals:
1. Pets must stay leashed outside at all times.
2. No pets on furniture, beds, or lofts.
3. Pets cannot be left alone inside, even in crates.
4. Clean up accidents with supplies under the sink, waste w/ bags provided, and sweep the house daily to manage fur.
5. At Creekside Cottage, use the signed pup relief area instead of the front lawn.
6. Expect friendly barn cats and free-range bunnies outdoors—if your pet chases or reacts strongly, this may not be the best fit.
7. Disruptive pets (excessive barking, digging, etc.) may be asked to leave without refund.
Guests must review and reply to our Welcome Message incl intake questions ~ No SMOKING indoors or out ~ Guest’s visitors must be approved prior to their arrival ~ Government ID SELFIES may be required for guests ~ 3rd Party Bookings must review and accept 3rd Party policy ~ Responsible use of cedar loo toilet per instructions provided

Nice Quite Get Away

Perfect little spot for a relaxed cup of coffee in the morning before heading out for near by family events (i.e. weddings) or spending the day wine tasting. We always love staying in a unique place with a story and this fit the bill for this trip!

Perfect Perch!

We stayed for a couple days, and we were both very happy with this fantastic tiny house! It's a short drive from the heart of Portland, which was perfect for unwinding away from the bustle of the city. They were incredibly kind and hospitable, but also gave us our space. It was a fantastic visit! I would recommend this lovely abode to anyone.

We came to celebrate our anniversary in peace and quiet. We were not let down. This tiny home is on a beautiful property. We could hear the river near by as we slept. Can’t wait to return! Thank you MJ for the quick response and clean and fun home.

Tiny Perch for grand adventures!

Great placed to stay for a trip to the Sherwood/Lake Oswego area or even staging a day trip to the coast! Perfect for what I needed and will be coming back. The Tiny Perch is quaint and had all the amenities I was looking for very quiet and comfortable. Excellent communication with the host Michelle! Thank you!

Great get away

Wonderful getaway and beautiful scenery! Only recommendation is dusting the bedroom. We both had experienced some allergies reactions that might be from dust. Other than that, we both really enjoyed this Vrbo on our vacation to Oregon :)

A great mini-retreat within a beautiful Tiny Home.

Michelle is awesome. Her tiny home was the perfect getaway for a quick trip through Sherwood. We did some adventuring throughout Portland and this made a great landing spot. Very quiet and cozy tiny home. She was a delight to speak with as well. I highly recommend it. My lady and I completely enjoyed ourselves in this quiet getaway. Cheers, Brandon Trean

Comfortable and cute

Michelle's tiny home is indeed small, but darling. The colorful curtains and furnishings are very cute. The dry flush toilet sounded intimidating at first, but was actually very easy to use with the detailed (and funny) instructions. The bed is a little awkward to get in and out of given it's position at the end of the tiny house, but still quite comfortable. Cute spot!

Tiny yellow home in the woods

Our stay at My Tiny Perch was awesome. The home may not be for everyone, but for us it fit the bill. A separate house of 148 sq. ft. was more relaxing than saying in a motel. Experiencing a cedar shaving toilet was a first, but think of the water we saved! We plan to return in the future and experience other units in the tiny village. The forested Sherwood location allowed to visit and travel all around the southern Portland area.

Tiny house adventure!

Staying in a tiny home wasn’t on the top of our bucket list, however it’s something you have to experience ! First time for us and our furry friends and it was fun. Not camping, not a hotel, not a fancy Bnb, but something in between. Our stay was mostly for business and the Wifi / Internet was good. The area is beautiful and rich. The address is a little village with several hobbit homes and wild bunnies! Lady of the manor , Michelle is a hoot as well. Gotta try it!!!!

Tiny home, but a big place in my heart

This was a wonderful stay in a lovely location among trees, nature, and peacefulness. Michelle, the hostess, was also the most attentive and helpful. There were many things to do within short distances (including wineries, breweries, nature hikes, artisan coffee shops, tea rooms), and almost not enough to experience them all. Portland is also only a close 20mi away. The tiny home itself was quite a nice experience, nestled near trees and agriculture. The are not too many neighbors and very quiet, so it's a really great place to relax. The tiny home makes it more cozy, and it has the essentials you need to be comfortable. I would be happy to stay again!
