Come enjoy a secluded getaway at our freshly renovated home on the Columbia River. This home is the perfect place to recharge and relax or find adventure in beautiful PNW style. We especially love to enjoy the wildlife and views from the wraparound deck overlooking the river. If you’re interested in catching more than just the sunrise and sets adventure is just outside your door! From hiking, boating, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, bird watching, fishing, it’s all at your fingertips. Little city adventures are nearby with Astoria being fun ferry ride away, or have a night out in the cute town of Cathlamet (4-minutes drive). Want to unwind after all the fun? Sink into the comfy oversized lounge couches for a peaceful sunset, maybe followed by a movie. The choice is yours, and you deserve it!

Did we say we’re dog friendly? Bring the pups and let them play, just be honest about the number. $15 per pet per day. Choose the pet option when selecting traveler number.

Perfect Refuge

Puget Island is awesome and this house is perfect with back deck right on water. The warm Fall weather made for pretty still river. Very relaxing. The property has everything you need. Island is perfectly situated for day trips to coast, city, wherever!

Great stay

We didnt know much about Cathlemet/ Columbia River area, but staying in this lovely cabin afforded us a close up of the tides and bird life of the islands in the river. The cabin has everything you might need in the kitchen ( we are picky) with thoughtful extras throughout including very comfortable beds. Definitely worth coming again.

Relaxing Getaway

The house was an excellent choice for a relaxing girls weekend. Superb communication by Host, nice amenities, comfortable beds and furniture and I always appreciate a well-stocked kitchen. The views are amazing. We will definitely add this to a favorites list.

Place was very clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of room to park my trailer for the week. Easy access to the marina. We appreciated the owner allowing us to bring our dogs. Communication was exdellent and included great fishing tips! I would stay here again!

Short getaway

Awesome property right on the water with a deck to stand/sit on and take in the stunning views and wildlife. The property is close to amenities like restaurants, market, and ferry to Astoria yet is still very private and a good place to get away from it all.

Epitome of Relaxation

We absolutely loved our stay on Puget Island. It was so relaxing to watch all the birds hanging out in the river outside our patio. Everything in the was house was clean and top notch; spacious accommodations, comfortable beds, all one could ever need in the kitchen, and superior craftsmanship. Got to meet the owner, Steve, who was kind and offered a wealth of knowledge about birds. I highly recommend this gem!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. If you enjoy staring at the river and taking lazy afternoon naps, this is your spot. We were impressed with how very clean the property is even for a dog friendly location. We loved walking our dogs around the field across the road and exploring Puget Island. The kitchen is well appointed and well laid out. We were able to cook a couple of nice meals during our stay. The beds are comfortable, we both slept like rocks! We had many animal sightings. Canadian geese, seals, osprey, a bald eagle, a beaver (maybe?), raccoons fishing by the waters edge (very entertaining) and a flock of pelicans roosting on a small island just across the river from our deck. We counted one boat that passed by our place for the entire weekend when we were there. Incredibly relaxing and private! Comfy all around. We will gladly stay here again!

Amazing Winter Getaway

What a wonderful cozy getaway. The owners have a great feel for what folks are looking for in a getaway as a matter of fact they nailed it. Quiet vacation spot and helpful owner

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we would love to stay there again. The interior of the house looks like it was recently remodeled, and it is clean & tastefully decorated. The views across the water are beautiful. The owner responded quickly to my questions, and even offered to come by and visit with us to answer our questions about fishing and crabbing in the area since he is a long time fisherman on the Columbia River. When he came by to visit, he had just arrived back in the states from an international trip, and I know he had to be exhausted, but he took time to greet our dog, and provide some excellent fishing and crabbing advice. Thank you, Steve, for making our vacation a great one.

Fishing trip

This place is off the charts. Everything you could possibly need. So clean and cozy. The back porch over looks the river. It rained one of the days we were there so we enjoyed the day just hanging at the house and fishing off the deck. We are already looking forward to coming back.
