About this property

Puget Island Riverfront Getaway with Hot tub

This home is on Puget Island in the Columbia River with water front property, a dock, newly developed home with hip styling, a foodie equipped kitchen. The landscaping is incredible! This spot is an idyllic island getaway overlooking a pristine section of the Columbia River, at the mouth of an inlet with a protected dock off the main river current. A great adventure basecamp for boaters, anglers, kayakers, and Jones Beach OR the kite boarding destination is at the eastern part of the island. This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths (master and main bath w/ claw foot tub) and has been furnished for luxury and comfort. The kitchen is setup to suit foodies and chefs alike. A fire-pit and picnic table overlook the Columbia river in front of the house. Several outdoor heaters including a Timber stove pellet heater. Brand new hot tub overlooking the river with all the options. Bird watching paradise! Lots of bikes, electric bikes, paddle boards, kayaks and more! The entire house, except the garage. The shop is also kept private. The entire yard and dock are available as amenities. Keyless entry into the home with a provided code. We are available by phone/text, or should you have any questions regarding your stay. Your Co-host Patty lives locally and can help with things as well. The island is scenic and has a slow pace to soak in the splendor of this section of the Columbia River. Astoria is a day trip away. There are sand beaches and recreational opportunities. There is a bridge on the Washington side of the river and a car ferry on the Oregon side. Please check with the department of transportation for bridge closure information and ferry operations. The owners have a passion to cultivate the landscaping into an oasis, the island has a micro climate that allows sub tropical plants. They are constantly developing the outdoor space for guests to make lasting memories. The next phase is landscape lighting, outdoor speakers and much more. “Alex play Mozart in Garden Zone One”- someday... they are also adding smart home features to make it a model of modern home control technology. Hmmm...what else, they want guests to feel at home and have furnished the entire home with very comfortable beds, TVs in each room, Sonos throughout the house, and much more!

My wife Jennifer and I are social travelers that love culturally diverse places with a hip easy going vibe. We work together operating yachts as a Captain and Chef team. The majority of our career in yachting is providing luxury charter services at choice destinations around the world. We are professionals in the hospitality business and have developed a property for Airbnb to be an exceptional example of providing quality amenities with care to add the special touches which make our home as close to a second home for guests as possible. Without question we have the utmost respect for people, their space and their property. As travelers we seek new friendships and local knowledge. We are foodies that enjoy sharing both wine, beer and culinary experiences. We are always keen to make memories with others in the hope of fostering relationships and leaving an impression of living an extraordinary life for that energy to be reflected outward, often feeling the ripples bounce back is the most satisfaction we have found out there in this wonderfully diverse world. Bring on the colors, vibrancy of passion forward living and spread it all over!

Why they chose this property

We love Island life! While spending many years traveling and working in the Caribbean we had always dreamt about having waterfront property. We are also building a 45ft Bluewater Catamaran, hence the need for waterfront property and a dock. This property was everything we needed and more. We have created such a warm an inviting island feel by planting tropical and edible plants throughout the property.

What makes this property unique

Come stay with us and get to know both our property and us as hosts, our goal is to have repeat clients from Seattle and Portland areas during our peak season when school is out and the weather is wonderful May-Oct. We will provide custom discounts to families or individuals that are interested.
